Leary is playing all pro right now, free agent

Beasley is tearing it up , free agent

Miles Austin, while not here anymore was a free agent that made the pro bowl as a Cowboy.

And last but certainly not least is Tony Romo, free agent.

When you see teams mortgage their future like the Deadskin's did to draft RG3, only to bust,

It is just down right crazy we got Tony for FREE !

Hey and Honerable mention that it looks like we got another Franchise QB the end of the 4th round !

Basically got Dak for free too.
I think an end of the 4th round pick equals about 1/45th of a very early 1st rounders...value-wise.

I'm not exaggerating.
Roughly a 40 value for pick 135
vs 1800 for pick 4 in the 1st

I thought so too but Norm Hitzges mentioned the '64 draft: Mel Renfro, Bob Hayes, and Roger Staubach. Three HoF'ers and that's with blowing the #4 overall pick.

Time will tell, but excited for the future.

TBH...that's been a Cowboys legacy for decades...Drew Pearson, Nate Newton, Cornell Green, Cliff Harris, etc. We've been doing it for decades...and yes, it's awesome!

Weeden, he could throw the prettiest pass for 4 yards.

But I agree with the OP, our drafts and FA's have improved over the years and we've gotten some impact players for basically nothing.
