Do we really have a RKG team?

It's a label used to essentially say "quitsies!" when questioned on personnel decisions. Well he's the right kind of guy. Oooh. Can't disagree with that completely hollow meaningless statement.

My right kind of guys for a football team are good football players.

Several sentences of nothing. Seriously.

I'm glad to know what your RKG's are.

Does nothing for me though.

Thanks.

RKG was always a crock. Just a throwaway robot cliche the local media latched onto and tried to make into some overarching football philosophy.

Maybe. But how do you explain Garrett always referencing it in his PC's?

Must mean something to the head coach of the team you root for.

Don't you think?

I'm not saying it doesn't mean anything to him, but every coach wants guys who work hard, care, practice well, etc. There's nothing about it that is unique to Garrett. Every coach who has ever coached here has praised those players who do those things.

So why say it's a throwaway statement by the media?

Makes no sense.

Don't get me wrong- I am not calling you out to be a ****.

You're a poster I respect and enjoy reading your posts.

But you know as well as I that what you said is not simply a media thing.

It's a real philosophy that the Head Coach of Your Team believes in very much and factors into talent acquisition.

RKG? I'm lost

Garrett has a term he calls Right Kind of Guy.

It indicates a player like plays for more than just money and fame. A player that does not have major character or legal issues. More to that effect...

What's the point of having a team full of RKG's if we don't have the RKC?
