Do we really miss Bill Callahan that much?

with all the accolades and doom and gloom discussions on Callahan, we are still 10th in rushing, with a couple of incompetent QBs and major injuries for the season.

Washington is 22nd in rushing. some were throwing accolades at Callahan and Washington's early season success.

so is bill Callahan still all that?

Our pass blocking still leaves some room for improvement but that was the same last year as well.

I really doubt anything is that different with the coaching or we would be that much better with Callahan. The players still have to play---Free is further from his prime and Leary is a rookie, a talented but a raw rookie.

Yes, Bill Callahan is still one of the best line coaches and possibly the best zone blocking line coach ever. Dallas has an immensely more talented offensive line and this is Callahan's first year in Washington. I would be very surprised if they don't have a top ten rushing attack next season.

His loss definitely effects this offensive line, but we can definitely be successful without him. The two are mutually exclusive.

Callahan quit the Cowboys so screw him! He wasn't fired or not welcome, he flat out quit.

After having his role reduced three times. He left for a much better situation (for himself) and a team that desperately wanted and needed him. He isn't what I would call a good guy, but I can't fault the guy or harbor a grudge after the way Jerry and Garret handled him.

Bill Callahan, is that you?

It seems to me that Callahan was Jones' guy and not Garrett's. It is what it is and nothing to get upset about as an outsider.

If that's true then why is Callahan gone and Garrett is still here? You'd think Jerry would take care of "his guy".

Because Garrett is Jerry's guy and the head coach? It's very easy to go back and see the conflict between Garrett and Callahan and see Garrett throw him under the bus. Callahan essentially told Garrett to shove his offense up his patooty. Garrett threw a temper tantrum, so Jerry diminished his role.

10th in rushing means nothing...a feel good stat....have you seen the Cowboys running game or passing game....look at the OL play that got Romo hurt on the 2nd time....2 OLmen and a RB on 1 DLmen and that DLmen busted through and sacked Romo ending his season....Cowboys OL coach, Frank Pollack is a JOKE...and it shows on the field......

No matter if the Cowboys win or lose Monday night...you cannot take away the fact Callahan is one of the BEST OL coaches in the NFL. Give credit were credit is due...

We miss him like we miss an ex that walked out on us.

If you don't think this line is better with Callahan coaching it, you're absolutely clueless. I didn't say we couldn't be successful without him, but we do miss his presence when no one else on the offense, or the head coach, has any experience with zone blocking before their tenure here.

I think he's a quality coach but I don't know that it's been as big a loss as some have said here.
