Do what the Giants did

they are saying the same thing. do what dallas did and get a good offense. they would have won if their defense didn't suck.

A huge part of the Giants success on defense this year was their early draft pick safety went from bad to all pro. Something similar would have to happen for Dallas, but I don't see it, only chance I could see would be Jaylon Smith, but that's very unlikely.

The way to win in this league is drafting well and developing talent. Siging high priced free agents will hurt you.

Agreed.

1. You never know how they're going to pan out after the team switch.

2. They generally cost more to sign than re-signing your own players.

3. You're getting them going into their prime, and likely are going to paying them more years when they are over the hill.

NY could pay big money, but it might mean costing them their own home grown guys. Plus they know they're at the end of their rope with Eli at 36 and visibly on the decline.

And spend big in FA on defense. They wouldve beat pack if their offense didnt suck
We don't spend big anymore. Ain't holding my breath we do it this year although that's the first thing i was hoping we do after we lost. But hey unless we buy some officials we'll probably end up with the same outcome anyway.

I get what you are saying but it's easier for us to do what the Gints did with their defense than what we did with our offense if we have the cap space.

It took us sucking several seasons to get high draft picks to build our offense. It took the Gints one year from being the worse defense in the league to one of the best if not the best defense in the league.

Unless Dre Kirkpatrick wants 50 mil you sign him and draft a cb in round 3/4. There are guys like Fabian Moreau and Joshua Holsey from Auburn who are future starters but will be mid round picks. Don't get caught up in drafting a cb early. I'd rather a Scandrick or Brown over a Claiborne

The only players that make us a Super Bowl contender are (in no order): 1) Dak, 2) Zeke, 3) Dez, 4) Beard, 5) Tyron, 6) Zack, and 7) Lee. The first 6 (all offense) are young and therefore cost a lot of money. Fortunately, some of them are still on their rookie contracts so we can take advantage of that. We can also possibly keep Lee for the remainder of his career for a fair price considering his history, age and injuries. They key is to make sure you keep all those guys on the roster for as long as you can. That means don't sign a free agent contract in 2017 that'll cause you to lose one of these guys in 2018-beyond. If signing a play maker causes you to lose anyone not in that list, then so be it.

Remember back when the dynasty broke apart and back with the lockout? Both times, heavily invested positional groups bankrupted the team cap when injury and potential decline hit an entire positional group.

No thanks, the offense already carries the team strongly and now has a shelf life of at least five years.

Get the defense up to the same functional level, developing talent as well.
