Do you agree with Jerry on the run game?

I kind of agree. Rico Dowdle did very well once he got a chance. Another big reason for the struggles, to me, was the offensive line coach. Mike Solari is terrible and Big Mike was the only person in the NFL that wanted to give him a job.

Add to that McCarthy's playcalling. He didn't even try to run the football until the week of Thanksgiving and wow, all of the sudden the Cowboys win a few games.

We went into the year with question marks at RB...we had a guy who had NEVER carried the load, a guy that already had shown the tread on the tires was gone...and nothing else. And to make matters worse, we continued to start a guy that was clearly cooked instead of putting our best RB on the field until midseason. That was one part.

The OL was a work in progress. We were bringing in a new C, we had a RT that was coming off a very bad year, and we were breaking in a new LT. Add in that Martin never seemed healthy and finally went out of the lineup....and the line seemed to get better. So the OL was weak.

We lost our starting QB, and regardless of the opinion of some, that made the offense weaker.

So, to me, it was ALL of these things. I'd guess that the OL was the biggest issue, and then RB was close behind it.

Some people here think Dinosaur Solari was good.
No, I'm not one of them.
Agree to all of your above.

Bad tackle play, Martin being a shell of his former self, and the lack of a true lead back seemed to be the biggest problems to me. Jerry believing Zeke still was capable of being the lead back didn't help anything either.

If he feels that way, then maybe we are drafting an OL in the first. I thought it was a combination of factors. Yes, we struggled some with our blocking, but that seemed to settle some as the season progressed (and sadly, after Martin called it quits). However, we also tried to use two RBs who were finished and only started succeeding when we handed the ball more to the back who wasn't. Frustratingly, right now our plan seems to be to use two other RBs who may be finished. If we wait until late to draft an RB because we believe the OL was the problem, then we are truly ignorant.

Philly's run game was dynamic because it had a top line AND a top RB. It's a team game.

Run game improved as your boy Zeke got more bench time. Another idiotic remark from our GM/Owner/Coach.

Our run game improved at the end of the year with Rush at QB. It sucked at the beginning of the year with Dak.

The OL is an issue but so are the backs. The back matters. We need one that can create big plays and puts the ball in the endzone.
