I believe if they continue to play hard they will give themselves a legit chance to compete for a title. Long way to go between now and post season so just hoping to see them continue to develop and improve as a team
not yet.....maybe if Dallas stays somewhat healthy and they start to sprinkle in Demarcus Lawrence and Carter returns healthy. Also brent can contribute and we see the secret agent step up....Moore...sterling Moore..lol Oh, and Spencer starts to play well.
Texans and the Sea Hawks should tell us alot about this team. We can revisit then as of now we have beaten teams ranked 28th,30th and 21st
I'm holding out hope. The pessimist in me contends that they still haven't really played a good team yet - and the week 2+ Cowboys would have beaten the week 1 49ers, IMO. The Seattle game will tell us a lot, I feel.
The optimist in me feels something a little different about this team. It's like there's a chemistry and a confidence that we haven't seen in a few years.
As of right now, I do think Dallas will end up in the driver's seat for the NFC East. Philly is good, but their O-Line and WR depth issues will catch up to them.
The offense will be good, the defense will be the team's Achilles Heel,,,, just like last year, but the overall team has improved enough to maybe squeak into the playoffs IMO.
This is the kind of game that in the past they would go out and just bomb. Would leave you scratching your head. These next 2 games will tell a lot about the talent/guts of this team. Win against the texans and give the 'hawks a scare, or even win that one, then they have climbed the next step on the ladder. Not yet all the way, but at least not a laughing stock as they were at the start of the year. So at this minute, I am not sold yet. But I do feel better.
I don't yet, but I think I can see it from here. The biggest reservation I have is how pedestrian the defensive talent is. And I remember pretty clearly that we looked ok defensively last year and then the bottom fell out.
I do think we can win the East, though. I'm assuming here you're referring to whether or not we believe we can be actual contenders.
Not yet. The next two games will tell me a lot. They should dispatch of the Texans. They're at home against a team with a bad quarterback. That's a game we can't lose with Tony Romo under center and have any ideas about being a playoff team. The Seattle game I'm taking a wait and see approach to. The Cowboys shouldn't go up there and get blown out, but if they lose I'm not going to hold it against them. Basically, I need to see them win the game they're supposed to win of the next 2 and not get blown out in the other one.
