Do you consider Bill Parcells a Cowboy?

With the announcement of the Hall of Fame finalists, I was wondering what everyone thought about that. Obviously he isn't just a Cowboy, but is he considered a Cowboy?

I also wonder if he will mention us in his speech.

Nope. Just like Forrest Gregg, Mike Ditka, and Herb Adderley. Not even Ditka given his years here as an AC.

I appreciate all each of them have done, but no.

Same with Deion. Haley however, I feel he is.

Agreed on that. Don't know why I feel that about Haley, but I do.

Tom Landry was a Cowboy despite his early ties to the Giants

Ernie Stautner was a cowboy despite his early ties to the Steelers

Emmitt is a cowboy despite time as a card

those are examples of cowboys

Jimmy, Wade, Chan, Campo, BP and most others are not.
just like Deion and other FAs are not

Jimmy and Campo? Really? I think of Jimmy as a Cowboy. He is a hybrid Hurricane and Cowboy, and identifies himself that way on Twitter. Campo has spent the majority of his NFL career as a Cowboy. He wasn't very successful post Super Bowls and I don't want him here anymore, but I still think of him as a Cowboy.

Oddly enough, I think of Barry as a Cowboy too.

I always had the feeling that Parcells took this job to put some cash in his pocket.

Not sure how many ways there are to say no and in how many languages but that's my answer.

For the record, I do NOT think Bill Parcells is a Cowboy. I just wanted to hear everyone's opinions on it. I think he tried to be a Cowboy. I think he attempted to embrace it and I know he admired the franchise and the Star. Ultimately I just don't think he fit in.

And I do think he'll thank Jerry is his speech, and probably some of his Cowboy players.

Is this a trick question?

Of course not...

Um NO...

When the better part of your career and success (and to put a fine point on it, career success) is with another team, then I consider you with that team. Parcells is a Giant. He won it all with the Giants. That is all I have to say about that.

Haley is a Cowboy but barely so. Deion is REAL close. Anyone who think Jimmy isn't a Cowboy needs a nutkick.

Unfortunately, Campo is a Cowboy. A short, ******** Cowboy.

Deion? Really close?

Someone that craps on the Cowboys as much as he does is not a Cowboy. He was a rented mule, nothing else.

LOL. With Campo it's one of those, "He's an idiot, but he's OUR idiot." kinds of things.

He played here what, 5 seasons? As many as the Falcons. Won a Super Bowl here. I'd argue most of his success was here. He did play most of his career elsewhere (nowhere more then here, but between all the teams), which is why he's close, but arguable at the margin.

If a mule can play corner and help win a Super Bowl, then let's rent away...

Campo is not a cowboy in my eyes. You have to be decent first
