I'd definitely bring him in for a workout. If he still has any skills left, I'd sign him for the league minimum. Honestly, I really don't understand ALL the venom towards this guy from this board. He NEVER played for the Cowboys and did not affect this organization in any way prior. To bring him in for a look costs us nothing. IF signed, it would be for the minimum (no cap impact) and would be cut in a NY-minute for any transgression.

Leonard Little is STILL in this league after killing a woman driving drunk then a couple years later, was cited once again for, you guessed it, driving drunk. Williams has hurt no one but himself. IF he truly has turned himself around, why shouldn't he get another chance? It costs us basically nothing.....

You are totally missing the point. The cap space or league min is not the issue, the problem is you have a 53 man roster. So you go out and sign Ricky the pothead and you have to cut somebody.

I don't really see that. Barber is averaging 6.4 YPC. That, to me, does not say that our OL is not opening holes. That, to me, says that Barber is just more productive, plain and smiple. To be honest, it's not even a matter of how many yards Jones is getting. I understand it's a two system backfield but you can't look past his average yards per carry. He's got 5 catches in 4 full games. I understand what you are saying. Your saying, don't rock the boat when it's sailing along on calm water. I'm saying, those waters will not be calm forever and sooner or later, we're going to need a guy who can carry the water a bit better then JJ is showing. JMO
