Do you have a salsa recipe?

The aboves.

But roast all vegetables.

I think this may really make the difference and I'm going to experiment with it some now. Maybe some yellow banana peppers? Some cilantro. I think it sounds good. Some lime. Some roasted green peppers and some yellow.. habanaro like Hos suggests. Maybe a little green onion. And some really manly garlic like notherbob suggested.

Sounds good to me.

Mine is pretty basic. Some tomatoes, a clove of garlic, onions and jalepeno peppers in the blender.

I love it. I can't make it too spicy because my wife likes it mild. I like it hot.

What are your salsa recipes?

And salt, lime, and maybe cilantro to that recipe. I prefer serranos though but sometimes I even mix the two...

Get a rope............. ;)

So reading thru this thread I see minor deviations from the basic salsa. I got some good ideas, thanks fellas.

Notherbob hit on a good one. When I pull the veggies from the garden it tastes much better than using store bought stuff. One thing I'd like to add is: It is also important to boil and peel (Roma's are the tastiest, IMO)the tomatos (CowboyMcCoy....this is probably why when you blended you got alot of a white semi-foamy 'stuff' in your mix.) and the jalapenos need to be roasted and peeled......use your bbque. As has been mentioned it's hit and miss on the flamage from one jalapeno to the other. BUT if you roast and freeze, this adds a little more bang to the jalapenos. Same with Chiles. Cilantro is a must, IMO. Sorry Chief-ster...........love the stuff.:
