I get this question sometimes so I wanted to share. I remember there was a big party at my home when i was a kid in 1981. I was the only kid there and was only 12.. It was a party for the NFC Championship game. My Mom would throw these parties every now and then.

Everyone there was rooting for Joe Montana....I wasn't....I watched in a separate room and when it was over, all the guests had to walk right past me. I'll never forget finding out later that my Mom told everyone not to say a word to me and they didn't. They just walked quietly by....Around my house the quickest way to start something was to say something bad about the boys.

Never had a second team, never cared for other teams especially the Steelers, 49ers, Commanders, Eagles, etc. When I grew up we would ask someone who their favorite NFL team was and if they had more than one, they weren't really a Fanatic. My problem is I just don't know alot of the players my kids know. They watch alot of football. I watch Dallas. Now i have two boys, 28 and 21 and they are like i was. No second favorites. GO Cowboys

I said 1981 but it was actually Jan 82.....After I thought about it I checked it out. We should have won that game.....

Grew up just north of Cincinnati. I was a Cowboys fan before the Bengals became team.

I liked the Bengals as they started, but Dallas always first.
So yes they are my second team to a degree. I do not go to their website and only know the top players on the roster. Just like all other teams. We Dallas fans know top players on other teams.

i lived in baltimore for a decade (went to college there) so I was there when the Ravens had just won their first superbowl and through 2011....they are my afc team.

Cowboys are my love, ravens are the mistress
Yeah, my oldest son has a little too much love for the 49ers and their culture....He tries to aggravate me with it but it don't pay much attention to it.....

Having more than 1 favorite team is another definition of a fair weather fan, ie t-shirt fan, ie not a fan at all.

Now, players is a different thing. There are tons of players in the NFL that I like to watch but since I mainly watch Cowboy games, those players are usually blowing our doors off. I really enjoy watching Lamar...

I watch football for two reasons. Cowboys love to watch them win, even lose sometimes.
And then teams, I hate , hope that they do lose all the time.

Brought up lived in New England , my whole life, screw Tom Brady . cowboy fan military overseas all you could get was the Cowboys Mr. cowboy ,Bob Lilley Roger Staubach. How can I not love the star and what it represents GO Cowboys. Tom Landry.

Nope. My dad used to take me to see "The Tyler Rose" Earl Campbell play at UT. I became I big fan of his. I got into the "Luv Ya Blue" craze when he was with the Oilers. Cowboys were still my team then, but I did pull for a Texas SB. Never happened though. :(

GO COWBOYS!
