If I have to see the names "Suh and Joseph" mentioned one more time on this forum....

...I'm gonna do nothing.

But seriously though, I think if you were to do a search for the most common word usages on this forum the last month or two, "Suh and Joseph" would be second only to "Dak".

Not if you count a certain poster's usage of "Durr durr durr durr durr"...

they started sacking the QB less because their style was getting killed by the run. Now the DT's are playing the run and not getting much push giving the QB time to step up into the pocket while Micah and Tank run right by them.

The Cowboys have struggled against the run all season, and it had no effect on their pass rush that had been leading the league and was on franchise record pace. Some of the reasons for struggling against the run is because we became sack happy. For whatever reason our pass rush has disappeared the last three weeks but until last week we had improved against the run. Some of it has to do with Parsons being neutralized and the Cowboys making a concerted effort to defend the run. Parsons hasn’t been nearly as disruptive as he was the first half of the season, which is affecting our past rush. Sam Williams has also disappeared lately. The only time his name was called last week was because of a penalty.

Of course they are being mentioned!

Fans are pissed. Our defense has been bad against the run all season. Two known run stuffers are available AND we don’t even take a flyer on either one. They would have been pretty cheap too! But instead we have morons talking about spending 5 times as much $ on OBJ!

Philly are biggest competition snatches them up right under our noses. Shi_ like this is why so many of our fans wonder if Jerry and his cheap son really want to win!!!

All that being said. Suh or Joseph would have helped our D and made Philly a little weaker.

It was a no brainer to pick up at least one of them!

They really played the run vs Jacksonville!

This defense it too soft! A guy like Suh or Joseph would have toughened it up some!

Suh is pretty washed up he’s only been in on 4 tackles all season. Hankins had been an excellent addition for us and had helped our defense until he got hurt. Injuries have decimated our defense. It’s not what it was earlier in the season. What’s happening with the Cowboys happens every December, they peak the first half of the season and fade.

That's one of those positions that a player can be great at and still have no stats, as long as his play feeds his teammates. I don't know if that's the case with Suh, but it may be.

Or, you could say after the Cowboys went MIA in the sack Dept.
Philly has had 6 sacks each of the last 3 games!
You don’t think Suh, Joseph, and Cox stuffing the run hasn’t helped immensely?

We don’t have any DOGS in the middle off our D line. Gallimore, Bohanna, etc. disappear for long stretches!

Soft defenses get dominated in the playoffs. This D better start get physical at the LOS, or we will have a very short and embarrassing playoff run.

All that position has to do is clog up the middle to be at least somewhat effective but at 35 he doesn’t do it as well as he used to.

The Eagles have 19 sacks in their last 3 games. The 3 teams they played are Tennessee, NY Giants, and Chicago Bears. Those teams are ranked 10th, 5th and 4th for most sacks given up this year.

The Eagles were second behind Dallas in sacks but over the last 3 games Dallas has 4 sacks against teams with the 3rd, 15th and 27th most sacks in the league.

Maybe Suh and Joseph have helped, and I think they have, especially Suh who has always been able to get pressure from the middle, but a lot has to do with Dallas just not getting pressure on QBs at all for 3 games.

Yeah! I saw Suh and Joseph immediately make an impact vs the Colts. 1st and goal on the 5 late in the 4th quarter. Philly gives up a TD and the game is basically over! Suh and Joseph clog the middle big time and all of a sudden it is 3rd and 7. Colts kick FG, Philly comes back and wins.

Don’t act like Suh is chopped liver!

Well, 6 sacks a game is a hell of a lot, 1.3 isn't.

I wouldn’t say maybe Suh and Joseph would help. I would say they definitely would help our D line stop the run and this entail would help us rush the passer!!
