Seriously, if he wants to "win us over" try putting in a solid preformance at QB, jeez.
Give him a chance first, jeez.

Sarge said:In all honesty, I have not seen him in enough interviews, nor have I seen him with the first team on the field long enough to make a judgement on EITHER counts.

But I do like him. Seems to be level headed and calm.
Your assesment is interesting though ... I haven't seen him play as much as you have. But to me, it comes down to the offensive line ... as with any QB ...
But as a guy ... I like him ... not that there is anything wrong with that ...

Banned_n_austin said:It's simple on the playing part ... that's going to come down mostly to the line.
And Bill isn't going to "put the onus" on Drew Bledsoe ... so if you think it's all up to him, you can put that in your "onus" JK
Seriously though, Madden was rambling about how you have to put the onus on your QB at times as if Parcells was an idiot who didn't know that ...
And then BOOM. Touch down - Lousaka Polite (I'm a fan now) and 6 points ...
I could be quoted as saying, "Hey Madden, stick that in your onus" ...
When he first came into the NFL I did because he is a PAC 10 guy. Not only that but he lit the league up under Parcells those first couple of years. I don't recall him ever getting bad publicity for his actions on or off the field.Banned_n_austin said:I'm not talking about as a QB ...
I'm talking about as a guy or someone you'd like to talk to/hang out with ...
I've been hearing him talk lately and he just seems like a likeable kind of guy ... seems that may be part of the reason Bill brought him here ...
I just really like his demeanor, mild tone and ability to articulate what he's saying.
Just wondering if any of you shared the same thoughts ....

Oh by the way, I heard that Bledsoe and Henson are becoming really good buddies, in case you are interested.

I remember telling a Patriots fan that I felt he could win a couple of Super Bowls for them when he was only 1st or 2nd year in. He had all the tools. Emphasis on had.
I definitely see a QB who has regressed and is not the same weapon he once was. Nothing really wrong with that, it happens to every player or no one would ever retire.
I'm not fond of retreads but I do like pedigree so I've been rather split on his being the starting QB here. I will say this, other than in the warmups before the Cardinals game I haven't been very impressed. He seems to be making the same mistakes that have caused him to regress the last few years.
I'm not going to run from the words I've used for years in and around the game just because it puts people's panties in a wad.CaptainAmerica said:oh no Hos...you didn't use the word..."pedigree". INCOMINGINCOMING!!!!

I think Crayton is going to be a hell of a player.Banned_n_austin said:I'm not sure what to think of his play yet either. My guess is he won't be too disappointing though if we get a running game, pass protection.
BTW Hos, how bout that Crayton guy last night?
Berialt?
I'm aWARE of Ware ... just curious about the others you saw and commented on.
I like Crayton a lot now.

Like I said, I've used these words and heard them used for years. It cracks me up that people get so bent out of shape over them. You'd think these words desecrate sacred monuments or something.Banned_n_austin said:You don't have to. I'll just ignore them and act like you've never said it.
Deal?
Hostile said:I think Crayton is going to be a hell of a player.
I said that Roy was the only Safety we had better than Beriault. I stand by that.
I wish Ware had done that in the game I was at. I don't think my voice would be back yet. He was amazing.
I do, 3 Super Bowl trophies and one Super Bowl MVP.InmanRoshi said:I know putting Drew Bledsoe down is the hip thing and all the cool kids are doing it, but do you know Aikman's career QB rating working with a Pro Bowl TE, a Hall of Fame WR, one of the top 5 RB's of all time, and maybe the best collective OL in the history of football?
