Do you really think the Cowboys can win a Super Bowl?

Set aside your blue star, resist your urge to defend anything Cowboys (gonna be tough for some folks), and ask yourself this question honestly.

Does this look like a championship team to you? Do you have confidence the front-office-for-life can deliver one? If so, other than you want them to, why?

I've been open about it. I expect to die before the Jones Family Fantasy Football front office outsmarts the rest of the NFL. If you disagree, please tell me why. Other than blue-star-love, give me a reason to believe.

No................I'm in my 40s I dont expect to see the Cowboys win another SB.

Maybe my young daughter will, but she will probably be in her 70s by then, LOL

In order to accomplish this feat this team would have to beat 4 consecutive playoff level coaching staffs, quarterbacks and defenses.

I have very little confidence in seeing this occur while I'm still living under Jones ownership.

Anything can happen in the future. The Jones family can accidentally find the right coach and QB combo. I’m not waiting for them to outsmart the NFL, but they can luck into something special. We just need the right circumstances to happen that make them accidentally build a SB team. Jerry has done it before, maybe Stephen can trip or stumble into something special again. The Bengals awful FO situation managed to take a team to the SB. The Cowboys FO can to.

Ask me again after the Vikings game.

As for now, last season really was a back breaker for me in that regard. They proved that they have been pretenders all along. And when spirits were flying high after the Bears win I warned that last season we had the same record at this very point last year.

So no, the Cowboys haven't done anything to make me believe they can win it all. But this sentiment didn't just come up after the GB game. As I said, last season broke any confidence I had left.

My current approach is, all of regular season is pre season still. The real season starts in January. Wins are still fun to watch but as a whole the inconsistency of this team overshadows any expectations I have.

Funniest question by far asked in this century.

The Cowboys? Win a SuperBowl in this lifetime?
:lmao2:

The sun is more likely to go Supernova and destroy the entire solar system than Dallas win a Superbowl. I’m also more likely to pull off a heist by stealing all of Jeff Besos’ money and getting away with it. Hell, the Cleveland Cavilers, who aren’t even a football team, are more likely to win the Super Bowl than Dallas. Bottom line, this team is doomed for years to come.

I believe that it all depends on the lifespan of SJ... Jerry will be pushing up crabgrass before then. Maybe give it another 30 years. After that, we MAY have a glimmer of hope.

This Cowboys team does have the makings of a Super Bowl champion, but the quarterback issue will stop them.
I don't know if Cooper Rush could be the quarterback that could lead them to a championship or not, but I know that Dak won't.
Until they fix that problem, they aren't going anywhere.

This season we have seen the defense be elite and the offense explode for 49 points..... Problem is they never do it in the same game.

Until this team plays well in all 3 phases, no

Until Moore and Quinn stop trying to run schemes that don't work, no

Until Dak and receivers can get in the same page, no

Until the defense can hold teams from running 200+ yards on them, no

Until they stop letting teams bully them or taunting them like Aaron Jones jumping into the endzone with the Lynch "hold my ....", no

If you're asking about this year then I would say no. Unemotionally speaking we have a porous run defense, inaccurate and inconsistent QB and an OC. Pretty confident this year is a no go.

For the future, unemotionally speaking,.it depends on what role Stephen Jones plays after Jerry passes away. Does Stephen take on the dictator role that his dad has or is he wise enough to hire a football GM to handle things. Has it been confirmed that Stephen will take on his dad's exact role when Jerry is gone? I'm not sure if that's been confirmed. Red flags about the future is Stephen's views of FA. The Eagles lose a game and realize they need help in run defense the same week we lose a game due to run defense. Eagles sign Suh, we do nothing. That's a red flag. So in summary once Jerry is gone it all depends on how narcissistic Stephen is and if he'll pull a Kraft and hire a great coach who can do his own thing and bring in his own players or if he copies daddy's role. If he's a Jerry clone then I don't see us winning for 40 years. I always think what if they have a draft where they hit on all 7 rounds with all pros and despite ignoring FA we still win it all. But that's toxic optimism. Reality hits where it's going to be 30-40 years if Jerry were to pass away tonight.

This is the third best team in the NFC East. Superbowl?
