It was headlined with two sure fire 1st rd backs in Robinson, Gibbs, but here were some others in that class:

-Charbonnet
-Achance
-Spears
-Miller
-Chase Brown

and several others

We just tagged Pollard and he was coming off of a broken leg and released Zeke. They said they would wait it out and take advantage of the depth at the position. That yielded them Vaughn who has been a healthy scratch the majority of his career.

My point is, no you don't have to draft a 1st rd back, but you better make it a priority to draft one early or they can be left with a player who is a healthy scratch once again.

This class is even better overall but the Cowboys would have to take a back in the first two rounds if you want the top guys. You never know when the run will start.

I remember one of the draft shows thought Bejon Robinson was going to fall in the 20s and would be the only back taken in the first round. Of course two went in the top 12. I think it’s a good chance the top 4 guys don’t make it to 44. Cowboys, Browns, Raiders, Giants, ect all need backs.

Also remember many thought Gibbs would go on day 2. Your right top 3 will be long gone when they pick in rd 2. Question is, how far can they wait to get a quality back?

I saw a mock draft where the Cowboys got Gibbs in the second round.

I want to see where they go with coaching but offensive weapons might be the top 2 needs for our team. We need a number 2 receiver and number 1 running back badly. The defense unfortunately might need to wait.

Fully agree and try to fix their run defense while covering for the injuries at both CB/LB.

Dowdle was an UDFA and just ran for 1079 yards and 4.6 YPC in a season where he was hardly used for half of it. You use a premium pick on RB when you have all the other boxes checked and just need that one piece to truly make a deep playoff run. This team is no where close to making a deep playoff run.

We need to take one no later than the 3rd imo. By our 5th pick, the position may be picked clean. 3rd round probably nets you a guy of Bucky Irvings quality

They need to use free agency but Broaddus really is sticking to his guns that the Cowboys don’t have any money. He even said don’t expect them to resign any of Osa, Lewis, and Gholston.

Run defense is boring. Scoring lots of points sells tickets. I think we know where Jerry is leaning unfortunately.

Spotrac website exists for a reason. Use the manage roster button.

Prescott and Lamb salary conversion can free up 56 million.

Parsons base salary for 2025 is 24 million. If you work out a new deal that number will be lower.

Does not mean they will use it. The Cowboys have not used free agency in a long time. No website is going to make the Cowboys spend their cap.

Stephen has been on talk shows saying the Cowboys have no money but you are believing a website that has nothing to do with the Cowboys. Ok….

Washington wasn't close last year and the Cowboys could have swept them this year.

The Cowboys can sign whoever they want this year. To do so they need to sign Parsons before March and do the contract adjustments with Lamb and Dak.

What are you on about? The website tracks every single team in the NFL. You can check out overthecap as well.

The Jones family also said they were allin this season. But hey, keep on blindly following them.....

if only they had a 4th. grrr

also, think back to 2015 when they let demarco go. that was a deep class too. Gurley, Melvin Gordon, TJ Yeldon, Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman (who I wanted desperately lmao) Duke Johnson, David Johnson, Mike Davis, David Cobb, Jay Ajayi. And they got ... no one, and rolled with the panty thief and Mcfadden. *Sigh*

we are two full offseasons away from a deep playoff run and it will depend on both who the new coach is and how well the team is built.

I thought we should’ve taken Lloyd over Marist so waiting was ok…the team just thought LBr was more important.

This class is even better. I’d be open to Hampton / Johnson in the 2nd if they’re clear cut BPA but my gut says a DT will be the best value there.

I’d prefer to wait until the 3rd again, resign Rico, then double down in the 5th.

the top three seem to be pretty much agreed on in its Jeanty Hampton and Johnson. They almost certainly will go first rd. After that, who knows. But there are probably at least half a dozen backs to be grabbed that would be better than what we have now.
