Do you remember the 2023 RB Draft Class?

if only they had a 4th. grrr

also, think back to 2015 when they let demarco go. that was a deep class too. Gurley, Melvin Gordon, TJ Yeldon, Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman (who I wanted desperately lmao) Duke Johnson, David Johnson, Mike Davis, David Cobb, Jay Ajayi. And they got ... no one, and rolled with the panty thief and Mcfadden. *Sigh*
Good memory. Murray was one of the best draft picks.

Also remember many thought Gibbs would go on day 2. Your right top 3 will be long gone when they pick in rd 2. Question is, how far can they wait to get a quality back?
Not sure anyone saw Gibbs's recent interview where he thought the Cowboys were going to draft him

 THIS planted the seed for my disrespect for Stephen Jones. They intentionally ran the hell out of DeMarco with no intention of resigning him and DeMarco didn't see it coming. He led the league in the number of carries and touches, a record that still stands at the top for RBs. Romo had the best season of his career but contract time.....Stephen lowballed him. He refused to offer more than $5M per season even after Murray brought his price down from $8M to 6M. I remember Romo, Witten and Garrett personally encouraged Stephen not to let him walk. Stephen didn't care he had Joe panty thief Randal.

This left a mark on me ( as you can see lol) and to be honest......NFL RB position also. It's why Zeke FORCED Stephen into a new contract after his 3rd year. Read several nuggets stating how he handled Murray was Zeke and his agent's primary motivation. They were not going to risk Stephen pulling the same crap with him.

Just an unprecedented slimeball move. and on a class act, heart / cog of the team. Only thing you left out is that Murray was also a tremendous blocker, and maybe Romo doesn't get injured the following year. :(

I will always believe 2015 was our window had he resigned DeMarco or at a min, added a quality replacement.

IMO You can still find gems into early day 3. By rounds 6 and 7 it's sometimes just about securing a players right so there's no bidding war/rejection in UDFA signings.

By round 4, depending on the depth of the class and scheme fits, I think a decent to good RB could still be had. But day 2 is probably the best best for guys with limited weaknesses.
