You do realize that Jerry went on record on the Ticket right after the season and grilled the guys on there, saying "don't you guys know what his roster bonus is?" He specifically addressed their bonus in the interview.

There have been ZERO signs pointing to him leaving. None. Not one.

It may happen, but anyone who 'predicted' it did so off their own paranoia and suspicion, not because anyone gave any hints of it happening.

Continue throwing it against the walls, fellas.

CA - I'm not completely sold on him being back. Think about it guys... Jerry signed him for big bucks expecting him to continue being the #1 guy - yet STILL put the bonus due in June, already preparing. Of course they're still deliberating.

I think it's probably 70:30 him being here. I don't care either way. It's a fine balance between what he brings and what he takes away.

i don't think T.O. takes anything away from us, he is our main offensive threat and he is for me still the #1 receiver in the league. he will be fully healthy next season, he will be great next season and he will be a cowboy next season.

I expect TO to be back next year. It was good to hear Phillips talk about their conversation and how he wlecomes TO to the Cowboy family. My hope is Phillips will be the type of coach who may actually get through to TO

A few posters agreed that T.O.'s release was a possibility, but, of course, I received several knee-jerk responses telling me it was ridiculous to even suggest T.O. might not return next year.

Then today, we find this tidbit in Peter King's column on CNNSI:

What else I learned after mining Jerry's head the other evening:

• It's no lock Terrell Owens will be with the Cowboys in 2007. Mr. Distraction is due a $3 million roster bonus in June and a $5 million salary for 2007. So there's time. It's not what Jones said about Owens; he always says the right things about how much T.O. helped the offense in 2006 and he expects to have a bright future with him. But it's what he's unwilling to say right now. He's unwilling to guarantee Owens' spot on the roster in 2007. Owens even took his nameplate from the Dallas locker room after the season, apparently unsure whether he'd be back for a second season under the big top.

The way I see it is that Jones will sidle up to Owens' agent, Drew "Next Question!'' Rosenhaus, at the combine later this month in Indianapolis and tell him he might want to reconsider when to make the roster bonus payable. Seems to me Sept. 1 makes more sense than June 1. By Labor Day, Phillips and Jones will know if they can stomach Owens for another season, and whether they need him for another year.

You can blast King all you want, but he comes up with some interesting information from time to time.

T.O. will be back and if he is not we will be hurting at WR.....like him or not, he opens everything up because of the respect teams must give him.

The sum of T.O. is alot more than his number of catches or drops. You have to delve a little farther than fantasy football to see his true value.
