I recall about a year ago that one of the beat writers had reported the Jets offered us a 3rd round pick for Romo.

At the time, I couldn't believe we turned them down.

If the blocked kick still has you down, just think how low we'd all be if Romo was starting for the Jets next Sunday....:)

There are also reports that Sean Payton wanted Romo in New Orleans, but Parcells wasn't willing to trade. I was surpised to hear of this last week.

My only beef with the QB situation is that we should have switched to Romo sooner.

No. I think his value is higher now.

I also remember the talk of Payton wanting Romo to go with him to N.O.

Romo should have been the starting QB the first game of the season but Parcells probably feared Drew Bledsoe would simply retire and leave. I'm just glad the switch was made because this team moves down the field much better with Romo at the helm!

Bledsoe hasn't been the same since he got dinged against the Vikings. I think he was bound for a decent year otherwise (if the oline could block that is).

I'm a huge Romo fan, but there was no way Bill was not starting Bledsoe in game 1. Bledsoe looked good in training camp and had to start Bledsoe.

As for Week 2? Romo should have started

I'd still take that 3rd rounder, just not for Tony Romo, shoulda' traded Drew Henson for it.;)

its funny how all of a sudden we got all these romo fans. im still not sold on the guy based on just 8 games, i think ill wait till the season is over. but BP did the right thing though, and that going with drew 2 start the season, he was the more exp QB.

It was after the Philthy game that BP should have yanked Bledsoe. It was clear by then that he was not playing as well as he did last year. I think it was two reasons he did not: one, Romo was such a huge unknown that ANY coach would hesitate, no matter how good he looked in practice, etc. Since he had NOT played any real time in REAL REGULAR season games; two, Bledsoe was a parcells guy and BP KNEW that yanking him for all intents and purposes probably ended his career. Thats a hard thing to do for a man that always prided himself on loyalty to his players.

I'd give Romo and a two first round picks to New Orleans today for Drew Brees.

I'd rather have the 3rd back for Drew Hensen. Talk about disappointing.

Holy Moses. I like Brees, but that is absolutely nuts. The Bledsoe benching burns you that badly? Try some burn cream.

I doubt Romo would have moved Pennington aside for the Jets. They wanted him last year when Pennington was hurt.
