Since it's the first game of the season and a new defensive staff for the Cowboys and a new coaching staff for the Giants, I thought this would be a good simple poll before the Cowboys 2026 season kicks off.

So, do you think the Cowboys will beat the Giants in their first game of the season?

Giants have Deonte Banks starting at Corner and he can't cover. Not sure why Pauson Adebo is the backup behind him, maybe he is dinged up. Watch for Colton Hood who I like a lot and wanted him for Dallas.

Malik Nabors is starting, but not sure he is completely healthy. Get one of the Safeties rack him hard, maybe Marquese Bell.

Worried they are going to run Skattebo like ole days of John Riggins and with us only 5 d- lineman ,if someone goes down could become dicey for us

If Jevonta Williams gets hurt, this runningback situation just became critical.

I think the Giants will be much improved from last year. But that said. We should be able to beat them. Their o line is still suspect. Dart is in his second year so our D should be able to fool him a little. And our O will be able to put up points.

I have no doubt that the Giants will be significantly better than the ones we've become so accustomed to beating in the past. Nevertheless, we'll be much better than the ones that have beaten them, as well. Our current defense will have better coaching and far better talent available.

The defense that we were so ashamed of last year won't be the same awful one that we sent to our regular season games in 2025. It promises to be considerably better. Here's hoping that ours live up to our expectations more than what the Giants team does for them. It will be a dogfight, no doubt.

Good points made, we have to actually cover nabers and not make him look all world, so we shall see. Yeah they could run heavy on us hopefully the big boys in the middle show up and do things well! I'm worried about #0 being in the middle.

Wouldn't be surprised if Williams got hurt, with the wrath of injuries we've had I mean why not, and we can go back to saying how much he's the Williams of old being injured!

Sept is our time to pound bottom-half-of-the-league teams while working ourselves up into a frenzy with goofy SuperBowl predictions while the leaves are still on the trees and its still hot outside.

May be a little sloppy or rusty the 1st half. Keeping it a close low scoring game.
Dallas offense gets going in the 2nd half, as the defense makes adjustments to keep NYG in check.

the maturity level of our quarterback compared to theirs

if we can't beat the Giants we will have been out coached.

Don't care what anybody says about it being the first game and anything can happen that's BS

Every game in the NFL is very important because there are very few
division games are even more important if you're planning on playing in the postseason.

If This coaching staff with the whole summer to prepare doesn't have this team ready to beat an inferior division rival on the road .

It's going to be another one of those years.

Look I'm not overconfident It's gonna be a tighter game than people think I think it's gonna be a 9 point game I don't know funny score 27 to 18...

I mean I really don't care about the score I changed my mind just win by one point get out of there and let's move on to the next game..

And trust me you remember that 24 point comeback last year against the Eagles that was great last night my Longhorns were down 20 in the fourth quarter against the number one team in the nation and came back and won that game by one point that's all I want they played like garbage in the first half We're trying to figure it out in the 3rd quarter but in the 4th quarter exploded found their game and you know what I'll take that.. By the way I can't stand night games I wish this was at 3:00 PM I mean noon would even be better but for me I'm gonna be down at the river but this sucks for me having two late games in a row i'm back to back nights for my favorite teams I am gonna be ridiculously tired especially with a week coming another hot week i'm an HVAC contractor give me a win cowboys give me a win by one point and I'm cool...

Here is the reality. The nfl is scripted. The outcomes have already been set and calculated. There is no way the nfl will allow the New York football giants to lose on the weekend of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. There is a reason they scheduled this game where they did and when they did.
The nfl has already planned a big pregame ceremony and remembrances have been built in to the broadcast. Giants win 27-24. Not because they are better but because that is how it has been written.
