Casseus came to the United States in September for emergency treatment. The growth had grown so large that it was difficult for her to breathe. Doctors at that time inserted a breathing tube into her throat. Wednesday's 14-hour surgery at Holtz Children's Hospital in Miami will be the first of many. Her mother said she is grateful to the doctors who have donated their time. The operation is expected to cost about $95,000, according to a Local 6 News report.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
