i think if my aunt had bawls shed be my uncle. ;) i'd much rather draft a ball hawk at fs and move ken over to ss
I'd rather get that too, but I don't think it will happen unless we can move up...

I really don't get this infatuation with sliding Ken Hamlin moving to SS. We're instantly worse against the run (and we've been slipping there as it is) if that happens.

i think we should just not use the safety classifications system, in todays game both safties have to be able to cover and hit

no, tackle

Hamlin sucks at tackling, takes bad angles, goes for the shoulders

Mixed feelings here. Davis played lots better at SS than I thought he would. Certainly lots better than when he was FS. He plays with intensity. Still, he's not that good, and he's started getting injured a lot. It's not like he didn't miss tackles or blow coverages too. I'd rather get a young guy who might develop in the roster spot.

Hopefully we do something about safety in the draft but i would love to have him back for what he brings to ST

I don't see the problem of him backing up Sensabaugh, and retaining the role of STeam's leader

He's cheap.. Plays great on special teams, makes a great 3rd string Safety and can attrack Bullets... So why is he not getting any love from Dallas? Last year after Miami cut him he was welcomed back.. Is he injured or is Sensabaugh his replacement?

I hope he will be back with us. He brings some attitude and gives all for the team. We need more players like this.

I'd love to see Keith back, especially seeing how bad our special teams were last year. The guy loves Dallas I think, and being a Cowboy, and he's one of a few guys who showed up and played hard and with an edge. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing him start at SS.

could'nt agree more with ya

DC.com still have him on the depth chart. Hopefully we keep him.

Almost 10% of the roster are safeties. We need a lot more.

He's a decent back-up on defense against the run, and he's an excpetional special teams player as far as it concerns busting up the wedge.

I like Keith. He's a real leader on ST. He's a below average SS.

Davis thinks he can get a starting SS job somewhere and will go wherever they will give him that shot. That's really the smartest thing for him to do right now -- he's always going to have a job in the league because of his ST skills but if he wants to get paid, he will need to show he can start or at least be part of a decent rotation.

I don't either, but I think it makes sense for both Keith and the Cowboys to wait. Keith to see if a possible starting position opens up somewhere, the Cowboys in case a couple of solid Safety prospects fall to them in the draft.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign up with us much later down the road.

Bingo. There is a lot of film on him starting and struggling, he's been forced to start a lot of games for us over the past 3-4 years because of injuries. He's improved a lot, considering he was very raw at first, but he hasn't improved enough to merit the deal that I'm sure he wants. His best move should be to stay here.

That's what I'm thinking. Killa gives it his all and plays hurt.

Thats what i am saying. He sucks as a starter but as a backup/ST player he is great. I'd rather get rid of Brown personally. Davis plays the right way and he gutted out the last few games of the season.
