Does anyone else hate when mock drafts include mock trades?

It's becoming difficult to find mocks without hypothetical trades and it's driving me nuts. It takes an already speculative exercise and makes it almost unusable.
yes.
unless the trade is widely speculated and likely to happen there is zero reason to do made up mock trades.

i have no issue with team looks at possible trade partners or such that target specific players in trades up or down but don't mash it all up into a mock draft.

I'm not a big mock draft fan. It's just speculation and seems like a collosal waste of time and effort.

Mock drafts range from useful, when knowledgeable people do them, to outright fantasies. I tend to rely on mock drafts by NFL people--former scouts, and former GMs/personnel guys. They tend to bring knowledge of schemes/coordinators and draftees. The only exception might be really close to the draft where a few writers may have some insight from the teams they are covering.

About the best mock drafts you get here will be a rehash of the ones they read somewhere else, with maybe a few players being moved based on personal opinion. Then they go downhill quickly and range into out and out fantasies. It all depends on what you're into, but personally I agree with you, I'm not into other people's draft fantasies.:)

It's funny when somebody trades away future 1st round picks because it makes their haul of players look great.
