It's becoming difficult to find mocks without hypothetical trades and it's driving me nuts. It takes an already speculative exercise and makes it almost unusable.

I'm not a big mock draft fan. It's just speculation and seems like a collosal waste of time and effort. It's becoming difficult to find mocks without hypothetical trades and it's driving me nuts. It takes an already speculative exercise and makes it almost unusable.
Mock drafts range from useful, when knowledgeable people do them, to outright fantasies. I tend to rely on mock drafts by NFL people--former scouts, and former GMs/personnel guys. They tend to bring knowledge of schemes/coordinators and draftees. The only exception might be really close to the draft where a few writers may have some insight from the teams they are covering. It's becoming difficult to find mocks without hypothetical trades and it's driving me nuts. It's funny when somebody trades away future 1st round picks because it makes their haul of players look great. It's becoming difficult to find mocks without hypothetical trades and it's driving me nuts. It takes an already speculative exercise and makes it almost unusable.
