It's tough to say at this point, but the story certainly seems to have some legs. I wouldn't doubt that the Jones' have made at least an inquiry to the Titans to gauge (at least) the parameters of what a trade might cost the Cowboys. It makes a little sense considering the Cowboys' situation at CB and the looming decisions that will have to made regarding Henry and/or Newman before next year.
With that said, I honestly think that there's more smoke than fire at this point. Pacman coming to Dallas to be on 88's radio gig is a major PR move on Pacman's part and no doubt set up by his agent to pander to the local fan base and wax on about his want to come and play in Dallas. Not a dumb move by any means if his intentions really are to play here. Jones knows that the Cowboys have a history of taking on troubled players. Spellman, Underwood, Tank, TO. So, for his part, he's smart to put on the Dallas PR tour. Whether or not Jerry Jones is going to bite is one thing, but Pacman isn't waiting around to sow a seed. It's obvious he's targeted the Cowboys and he's pulling out all the tricks. Chad Johnson isn't far behind. It takes two to tango, but both Johnson and Jones have publicly put Dallas' name on their dance card. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) neither are FAs.
I don't expect things to get any less interesting over the next few weeks, but one thing is for sure Jerry won't publicly shoot either of these possibilities down. It keeps the Cowboys in the headlines and the focus squarely on Valley Ranch. Dolphins Shmolphins. The Cowboys haven't done a thing this off-season yet they are the talk of the league. Whether it's Pacman, Hall, Moss, Johnson. It doesn't matter. The media is just dying to mention the Cowboys even if something has to be fabricated. You know what that means boys and girls.............................WE'RE BAAAAAAAAACK!
