Does anyone have a video clip..or a few pictures...from like 2 years ago...in the season opener..when newman and randy moss were going at it?? and on 1 of the 2 yard hitches..when newman and him were kinda fighting and wrestling?

i forgot how it went...i just remember newman on top of randy moss..n them fighting....1 friend said newman was chocking him...and the other said newman was slapping n punching him.....n they wre argueing but i cant remember wat was going on..i just remember newman screaming n *****ing at the refs..cuz i guess randy moss was pushing off

so if anyone can help me out..thanks

i also wish this newman would come back...he was so fiesty

Even more so now.

Do you see the hits he has been sticking... esp. on Bush when he scooped-slammed him.

A couple INTs wouldnt hurt but he has RW who likes breaking up his INTs ( a la Indy ).

Newman was penalized for roughness when he jabbed Moss in the face while sitting on him after Randy scored, it wasn't a pretty game. It was where that 2003 defense came crashing down opening day of 2004.

That's not correct. Newman wasn't penalized at all in that game.

No offense fella but I remember it quite vividly and the NFL website is not gospel inerrant, check out the pro bowl list from yesterday, they even screwed part of that one up.

I just looked at ALL of the penalties in that game. That was a penalty fest.. jesus!

No offense fella but I remember it quite vividly and the NFL website is not gospel inerrant, check out the pro bowl list from yesterday, they even screwed part of that one up.

No offense, but you need to have that vivid memory of yours checked, because it did not happen.

First of all, Newman "sat on" Moss on a play when Culpepper scrambled to the other side of the field and threw the ball out of the back of the end zone. Moss tripped when he tried to make his break, and Newman saw Culpepper scramble to his left, so he jumped on Moss to keep him down (which is perfectly legal when the quarterback leaves the pocket). There were no penalties on that play.

And secondly, Newman and Moss didn't scuffle or anything after either of Moss' touchdown catches (3 yards and 1 yard). After the first one, Newman got up and complained to the ref about Moss pushing off. After the second one, Newman clapped his hands once and walked away.

Newman was never penalized during that game -- especially not for "jabbing Moss in the face while sitting on him after Randy scored."

And I just watched the game tape of those plays, so I'm not going by memory.
