I love the player, but would have to put on 20 lbs to play in Houck's scheme, he looks close to maxed out, plus he can't play any other OL position. Backups need to be versatile.

He can play OG, started out there his first two seasons with PSU as well as some time at DT. I agree though, might be a little light in the pants.

Yeah, but won't be able to play either OG or NT for us. Unfortunately, love his fight and intangibles. He was an early mock option, but discarded him due to fit.


Could not bring myself to let go of Mitch King though, not a good fit for us either.

I really hate that label with OL. Shipley can line up face to face and maul the hell out of ya. Just because PSU leans towards a zone blocking scheme does not mean that's all the players can run.
