Does anyone have Verizon FIOS Service?

I got a flyer telling me I can have TV, phone and internet for 79 smacks a month, as opposed to the ridiculous 150.00 I pay for cablevision. Which steadily creeps, as it used to be a lot less.

Is Verizon good service? I personally don't care about phone usage, my cell is enough and I hardly use that, I'm mostly interested in the internet and TV, that I hardly watch.

I have FIOS internet it is great. Fast transfer rates especially upload.

Only complaint is the default router/modem is subpar. I bet if I complain I can get it upgraded, but the problem is not really worth the time/effort. So really issue isn't a big deal. Basically occasional spurts where ping increases.

It's a great service, but trust me once that trial period of $79 is up you will be hit in the face with a $150+ bill. Be wise with the packages you choose once the trial period is up.

Yeah I see that it's a two year rate and their page lists the price for all 3 as 109.00 - 129.00. By then it will probably be more. The savings over 2 years would be worth the switch, I just really know nothing about the service. It would kill if I were working from home and having connection troubles.

Thanks for the replies. :)

Verizon is finally getting the equipment for it where we live and we will be getting it as soon as it's available.

Comcast has been our only option for decent Internet service, and because of all the trees around us, our only TV option as well.

Can't wait until we can dump them.

The fiber optics connection is the best ever had. I always have the best connection online through the wireless router they provide. Will never go back to cable and its bad service or (dish)

I've never been disconnected

I just got Verizon Fios in July.

I have had Time Warner, AT&T Uverse and now Verizon Fios.

Verizon Fios is much faster than each of the other two (although this may have a little bit to do with location).

AT&T Uverse's TV use to freeze up on me every now and then and I haven't had that problem with Verizon Fios, but I don't watch as much TV.
