Does anyone think Cook can eventually start?

Im hoping Costa doesn't struggle but I can't help but believe he will. Not saying Cook is the savior, but do you think he can be like a Montrae Holland plug-in bandaid type of player if Costa struggles?

I believe the 'Boys had/still have high hopes for Killer. But trading for Cook was an excellent move to provide some stability in depth.

No. He is here to make sure Arkin never sees the field.

this arkin needs more weight room and technique work.

I know I'm in the minority but I see him replacing free before costa. I'm not saying he will I'm just sayin if I had to guess I would guess him replacing free. I just have more confidence in costa than most people do.

By all accounts cook was a terrible RT so the only way he is starting at RT is due to injuries

Who cares, he just better get his *****-*** back in the kitchen and makes me some pie!

He has a chance to start at center by mid season if he is better than Costa.

A 6-6 center?

I think versatility was key in trading for this guy.

Btw, his brother Erik is the center for the deadskins

I like him too. He likes the Cowboys, and the 'mojo' seems to be with him at his arrival. He now has to adjust...and stay healthy.

If he can't play over Costa he wasn't worth trading for.

Most of us are not too high on Costa. However, I disagree with that statement. Cook was brought in to give us legitimate depth at center and guard since we currently do not have any depth at those positions (unless you count Dockery at guard - which I do not since he is a joke) . Arkin is not a legitimate back-up center at this point. If Cook outplays Costa, and earns a starting job, that would be a bonus. If he gives us solid depth at C/G he was worth a 7th round pick IMO.

I agree with this, but clarify it for this season.

I think Arkin has potential, but yeah he has to get stronger.

Just for grins I went over the Detroit Lions site to see what mearsureables they had for Bill Nagy.

They list him at 6'3", 308lbs.

Not very big in the scope of things.
