I am just curious. If so, what do you look for? From certain players. What are you looking at in this combine specifically. I am looking at WR and DL.

Love watching the combine! I often work from my home office and its great to just have on all day. I like to see who looks natural and smooth in theyre movements, always fun to see the height and speed surprises shake up the board too

Well if any of you can give me a live stream that would be great as I’ll be working on the Friday

DVR and watch what you want is the way to go. Position drills are the most important thing, you can see who is a natural at their position and who isn’t. Things like tight hips, lack of flexibility, and lack of fundementals come to light at the combine. And even something as simple as common sense. It’s always a red flag to me when a drill is clearly explained and the same guy screws it up 3 times in a row.

Drills like the 3 cone and shuttle are important as well.

But I don’t sit there and watch guys run the 40, bench press, or jump for hours. Waste of time to me, I can look at a chart with all that info that tells me everything I need to see.

Since they don't show the interviews, this is about the only way to gauge if the player can mentally handle it. There are some players I have seen over the years that either loafed through a drill or even worse, like you said, flubs it several after getting more and more instruction. If I see a player like that, I make sure I cross them off my list.

Watch the 40 of the WR/CB/Lbers...who has real top end speed

10 yard splits on the OL/DT/DE...who can get off the line?

OL/DT bench press...who needs more work in the weight room...who has some endurence....staminia

DB drills...I wanna see who can catch the football. and I wanna see who can back pedal...it's becoming a lost art..you can tell who has been coached up...and who is getting by on just raw natural ability.

Plus I wanna hear the wonderlic scores. That's a telling sign if a player is dumb...slow learner.

I also wanna see the WRs catch the football. Who has soft hands...who is a body catcher? I wanna see quick feet...

And finally...you gotta watch the QBs. And honestly...I'm looking @ the guys body language. Obviously they are there...because they can throw the football. But I'm looking for the "it" factor. Does the guy take to coaching? Does he have quick feet?

I enjoy it to a degree. I usually DVR it as they break from drills too often to talk to some guest about something. The 40 is always a highlight, more in the 10 yard splits for me.

If only Garrett could coach at the combine. He would likely tell everyone to run only 20 of the 40 meters. No need to be anything other than average

Get a real job.......

Oh yeah. It's almost like watching golf as it's real quiet, but it's my favorite sport! very relaxing!

Been a fan of the Draft since I was 12-13 years old. I remember hanging up a newspaper poster from the Ft. Worth Star Telegram or DMN of our two 1st rounders Robert Jones and Kevin Smith*.

*I really wanted us to draft Troy Vincent.
