PUP list with Kalen Thorton. They both need surgery. If they are cut another team would definitely pick them up.

Only thing that could hurt Bariault is the degenerative knee problem he has, no doubt the kid is tough as nails and I hope he can make the team but if there is one thing going against him it may be that knee of his

Because you can't PUP players if they participate in TC. PUP is available for guys who can't start camp. If you remain on PUP after a certain point (3rd preseason game I think) you have to miss at least 6 weeks. The reason you can't PUP people is that teams would be stashing players to keep them on the roster. There are guys getting put on PUP around the league still -- none of them played in camp or preseason - their teams were hoping they'd be able to start the season.

Berriault needs to get his knee fixed. The team usually leaves it up to the player - JBs options here are a) have surgery and go on IR or b) not have surgery and get cut. I imagine if it is minor surgery there is a small chance we keep a spot for him over 4-6 weeks -- but if we planned to do that he's likely have been under the knife several weeks ago.

I think there have been like 50 posts on this already. The last guy we PUP'ed was Woodson -- we could do that b/c he was Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) for TC. You can't stash players on the PUP if they got hurt in preseason or TC.
