He has 4 through 7 games, putting him on pace for 9, a pace he probably won't keep up. Nobody's had 12 interceptions since 1980.

He was also Deion Sanders, about as visible a player as there has ever been (and if shutdown corner means anything, he was one), and Kevin Greene led the league with only 14 sacks that year.

It would take a lot more for Bland to win it, especially with Parsons around to split the Cowboys vote.

He absolutely does have a shot.

Gilmore has one and he he had 53 tackles, 6 ints (2 tds), and 20 PDs and 1 FR.

Currently, Bland has:
28 tackles, 4 ints (3tds), 9 PDs. (not to mention he had the 2nd best QBR vs him in the league BEFORE last week)

It really depends on the other candidates but he is in the running.
