Does Buffalo come calling this week on Williams?

It hasn't happened yet, but do the Bills take Williams off the practice squad this week?

Fill-in RBs are relatively easy to find in a pinch. Williams is probably in a pool of about 50 guys out there available to be signed from an NFL practice squad or off the street. The fact he's not good on STs hurts him as well.

Nope... We are 7 weeks in and not a single team has tried to sign him. A lot of teams have a Williams on the PS.

I agree, at this point in the season with all the injuries, if you're still sitting on someone's PS, odds are you are going to stay there. There are exceptions, but I don't see Williams as being one.

And the ridiculous over rating of Ryan Williams continues...

There's no evidence that Williams is any better than Bryce Brown or Anthony Dixon so, no, they most likely won't.

I did not overrate anyone!

Maybe. Maybe not. Bodies (RBs) are going down all over the league so there is a good possibility Williams is on someone's radar.

It's hard to predict. There is probably at least 1 RB on all 32 practice squads. Many of those guys were probably star players in college.

We are one RB injury away from needing RW. I hope nobody calls because we need him for backup plans.

Best wishes to ex-Cowboys Phil Tanner on running the ball for the Bills. I'm rooting for the guy.

Except for the fumbling issue, I think Bryce brown is pretty talented. Dixon is ok too, to some degee.
FJax will be back in 3-4 weeks as well.

They will add someone though.

They tried gettig that guy from the Broncos and Denver brought him up they have 5 RBs

I like Ryan Williams too but Bills have enough quality backups without needing a PS guy from us. Still believe he should be moved to the roster but maybe coaches know something we don't.

Bills signed Philip Tanner.

Practice squad superstar Ryan Williams is safe... for now at least

Lol. Wasn't Choice the last deep reserve for the Bills?

Teams tend to call up their own guys first. New England didn't come calling when Ridley got hurt. San Diego didn't come calling with all their running back injuries

Williams glaring weakness and the season he is on a practice squad is his lack of ability in picking up blitzers

Plus, he doesn't play ST very well.

I am not in agreement with a lot of the posters here. I don't believe that there are 50 Williams' on PS or other rosters. From strictly a ball carrier stance, I don't think there are 10 guys who can run the way Williams runs in the NFL. That's not the problem. The problem is the other stuff. Ball security, blitz package pickup, receiving etc. If he could pick up the Blitz in the NFL, he'd be on somebodies roster right now, with a good chance to be starting for a good many teams IMO. The problem is that he hasn't shown he can do that. A back who can run like he does is pretty valuable in the NFL but it's not more valuable then a starting QB. You gotta be able to pick up the blitz and protect your QB if you want to start in todays NFL.
