Not to be funny but in baseball when seemingly good hitters start to fall off they give a complete eye exam to see if the ability to see near and far have started to deteriorate...many of us are not aware that our eyes have deteriorated until we start straining to see etc

I would hope that the Cowboys trainers check the eyes of all the receievers and quarterbacks regularly to make sure that they can see at 100%
No, Jerry needs his brain examined (if he had one)

From a totally objective standpoint, his thumb may need to heal some. If you watch the Bucs and 9ers games, you can see the balls he's throwing are wobbly, as if he can't fully grip the ball. I noticed it in the Bucs game but didn't say anything because we won. But there might be something more to his thumb injury than the team let on.

I think the problem is located between his eyes. And it is not fixable.

Well, maybe but you might get this:

But then, it may not be a big difference anyway. So why not take the risk ? Isnt our owner known to be a risk taker ?

I still thinks his brain processes what's happening faster then what his body can react to. He has to learn to slow his brain down so the game is not so fast. If he can mentally slow the game down he would see the field better and have a better reaction time resulting in better throws. Unfortunately not every QB can do that and I believe Dak is one of those QB's that cant.

When things on the field are going great and he is having fun his adrenaline and stress level is lower allowing him to maintain a level mind to body reaction count. When his adrenaline and stress level rises because he is trying to do to much is when things go south

LOL. No offense but that is true for everybody.

But seriously this is not the problem. Its just the other way around.

When you watch his throws its pretty much clear he doesnt see the field. And he doesnt read the defensive players the right way. He also just ignores some of them. And to me this is because he is overmatched with the game. So he has to reduce the incoming information.

Hitters need to see a 4 inch ball moving at 90-100 MPH. Dak needs to see a 6 ft 200 lb receiver moving at about 20 mph. He'd have to be legally blind before his eyes would be a problem.

Dak's problem is in his head. He just is not making quick decisions or the right decisions. You don't have to have 20-20 vision to throw the ball out of bounds when nothing is there. or to se the play develop and take the dump off right away instead of waiting until even the outlet pass is not an option.

Honestly, he is just a mess right now. The one quick pass he threw trying to hit Schultz on a short route he threw right into the hands of the niners LB, who luckily dropped. it. I don't think he gets better next year. I think all these negative plays eat away at him and he regresses further.
Wel said.
Look through the right ear and if you see day light coming through the left ear than the issue is diagnosed.

Maybe he's color blind?? It would explain him throwing the ball to the other teams since he can't make out what color jersey they have.
I know your saying this with humor, but I have actually thought the same as well, its what we do when trying to somehow rationalize an obvious flaw often.
Dak is not color blind, he sees the color green quite well.

Sure that is true for every player in the field but there is only one player in command of throwing the ball which is the QB. His stress level and adrenaline rises which causes tunnel vision which of course is why he is not seeing the field properly. Very common medical condition in many people when stressed out..

No different then some running backs that see the running lanes perfectly and others that have a hard time. They just cant process everything they are seeing and transfer that info to the rest of their body. It takes training.

Just about every college player that makes the nfl will tell you that nfl games are way faster then college games and it takes playing time to slow the game down so they feel comfortable again playing the game.

I'd love to see the look on Dak's face when told he's getting an eye exam.
