Does Dallas Need to Rework Dak's Contract to Sign Parsons?

They don't because it's not true, and there's proof of the opposite all over the NFL. The more big money you pay to players the more players you have to release. You think the Bengals didn't make the playoffs because of Joe Burrow?

How in the world can you ignore so much evidence and still spew fallacies?
The idea is to become a contender, crash and burn, then rise a year or two later. Many teams don't want to do that.

This upcoming season is the first year of Burrow's extension. If the Bengals were worried about his pay last year, it's only going to get worse.

Bengals have not come close since their super bowl appearance, and much of that can be directly laid on the salaries of Chase and Burrows. Burrows threw for 4,918 yds last year, #1 passing O in the NFL. Guess they got what they paid for!!!!

Meanwhile, they let Mixon walk and ended up w/ the 30th running O in the NFL, which fits right nicely alongside their 25th ranked D.

Paying a few players megabucks not only will not get you in the super bowl, it will cause the downfall of your team. Reader, Ogunjobi, the driving force behind their lone super bowl appearance, let walk.

D wins super bowls.

Although I don't disagree at all, some organizations are better managing the cap than others. Or better yet, more willing to push money forward.

The Bengals are reacting to the future based on those big contracts. Because last year both Chase and Burrow were still technically on rookie contracts. This year Burrow's cap hit almost doubled. In my opinion the Bengals organization reacted too quickly. But hey, it's not my organization. They had last year and this year to make a splash before they truly get into cap trouble, but they chose not to. They weren't forced into clamming up. That's what they chose.

No and ask yourself what would Dak have to get in order to agree to a reworked deal? Remember he negotiated from strength, set all this up so he can make the most possible. Why would he all of a sudden give up anything....he won't. Nor should he.
