You better believe it........real slow start could get canned season ends. Just my guess, but he probably needs a MIN two playoff wins to survive. No 2018 playoff will end tenure as a Cowboy HC imo.........

Nope, Jerry is in love with the guy. He'll get to coach out his contract at our expense.
I think people underestimate just how entrenched Jerry is with Garrett.
That said, I can see some scenarios where Garrett could get on the hot seat.
Let’s say for example we do go out of character and make some splash in the FA /trade market this offseason.
Maybe make that Earl Thomas type move and a couple other pieces.
Maybe move up a few spots in the draft and bag the guy we want.
Then we suffer a few of those blowout losses next year where effort is questionable and players continue to grumble about scheme. We miss the playoffs and fall to 8-8 or worse then yes, I can see him getting on the hot seat

Not really but if he ends up with Less than seven wins he'll be on the hot seat for sure

If they miss the playoffs his seat will be scorching hot. Jones isn’t getting any younger and I don’t think he goes another season with Garrett.

At some point Jerry will come to his senses on this one.

Jerry Jones will somehow outlive all of us and own the Cowboys forever lol

I don't think his seat is anywhere near as hot as fans want to believe. That's just my read on Jerry.

JG should be fired THIS year. So yes he should be. If I were Jerry, I'd tell him that also. Win in January or your gone. The Cowboys have a playoff roster.
The lions just fired the coach with the highest winning percentage in their franchise history. JJ keeps Red with a roster on par with the lions, same record, and same failure to live up to expectations. What separates Red from Caldwell..Red established many new team record lows this year. Brilliant JJ....just brilliant. Cleaning house is the only solution to righting the ship.

I think so which is why I also think its possible we bring in QB competition. Garrett has to know he can not have another failed season.

The real question is when he goes through Daks season evaluation will he still be a believer?

Not trying to change topic, I just think Garrett would have to know he must win next year and that will require an "honest" evaluation of everyone.
