Yeah it sure would be nice if the team and / or the NFL would come, out and clarify the situation.
Too many conflicting stuff, and tweets do not help the matter.

Jerry always seems to follow the rules, and even go overboard and not fight anything. That way he can make money his way with no fuss, but he can't cause any fuss with suspensions, etc.
He should take a page out of the Al Davis notebook.

Jones is a power broker. Just like Mara and the Rooneys. They are the establishment now.

And Jones has shown he is weak when it comes to issues with the shield.

He sits back and takes it.

Yeah, you would think by having the most powerful franchise in the sport that he might have some clout. At least enough to get an answer on Gregory one way or the other.
And if Gregory did blatantly miss a test wouldn't this he put to bed already?

Jones is content to sit back and take it.

Just like he took the Austin contract screwjob.

So someone asked a question and all we get is some whining without anyone trying to address the question? That's the problem with this board. It's become more of a forum to ***** and moan than a place to get factual references about your team.

Gregory's suspension is done as of Monday and he would be eligible to return to practice and play against the Lions barring any announcement from the league about another suspension.

As to the OP, Although there were reports of another looming suspension nothing has been substantiated yet and even if those are true, his appeal formalities against a one year suspension could be robust enough to push a final decision to the offseason. So it's likely you'll see him play the final 2 games and the playoffs.

He has to be reinstated by the commissioner before being able to do anything. If the last minute notification that he couldn't practice like most players 2 weeks before a suspension ends is any indication, they are going to let him rot on the suspension list until they get around to making a decision.

This is the players/players union fault. They were the ones to give universal power to Godell. The commisioners exempt list, the investigations, the arbitrators, etc are all under the rule of the commisioner. If they don't grow a backbone and stand up for themselves in the next cba, it will be more of the same.

For what it's worth-

Goodell had no update regarding the status of suspended defensive end Randy Gregory. He is currently eligible to return to practice Monday, but confusion arose last week when the league denied his attempt to return to practice after saying he had not complied with all facets of his suspension. Gregory was initially suspended four games for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy and an additional 10 games was added for another violation over the summer.
