I'm not a Jerry hater, but I can't help but wonder if he is aware that he is the laughng stock of the league right now. Everybody thinks he meddles too much with his players and coaches. Everybody thinks of the him as the real head coach of the Cowboys. Everybody is criticizing him as an awful GM. Yet he seems oblivious to all of this. He strikes me as an intelligent man so he has to know what is going on. He also has to admit at some point that he is failing as the GM of the Dallas Cowboys. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because the Cowboys have had recent success, but seeing what I am seeing every Sunday has convinced me that the problem is indeed at the top. Will Jerry overcome his own ego and admit that he needs someone else to take the reigns of this team? And if he doesn't, what's going to happen? Will Cowboys fans just suffer year after year until Jerry Jones dies or becomes incapacitated? Seriously?

Sure he knows.

He just doesn't care.

Who would?

When you can sit on a thrown of cash, what people think is pretty far down on the list.

Keep in mind that Jerry surrounds himself with people who praise and assure him at every turn.

I don't think he really cares !

If I lived in Dallas I would carry a sign to the game that says "Fire the GM".

he doesn't care because suckers like me keep on tuning in and buying merchandise.

I wish Stephen and Jerry Jr. would say "look dad it's time for a change." Then again, maybe that is exactly what they have been saying. Of course, he wouldn't listen because he makes all the final decisions. I don't know how Stephen and Jr. can sit next to him in that luxury suite without slapping him upside his head.:laugh2:

It's mostly this. I do however think Stephen Jones is his reality slapper once in awhile but obviously not enough.... Jerry's ego will never let the Cowboys be winners again. He wants to prove to the world he can do it by himself. FAIL...

Why do you think Jerry is intelligent?
You don't get where he is without being shrewd, crude and intelligent. Don't confuse his stubborn ego with a lack of intellect.

Seems like a good time to post this again. (Thanks again theebs.)

Sometimes even the not-so-intelligent find fortune. I don't think he is really very intelligent. He may be a hard worker, but that doesn't always translate to a high IQ, grade point average, or the qualifications to be a football GM.

He knows he stinks as a GM, but he has always scoffed at hiring someone to take on that role, saying "If you worked all your life to buy this team, you've earned the right to meddle." Those were his exact words.

Perhaps he can do the public a service and step down or sell the team. I would be tickled pink with a new owner because I think that is the only way things will change. It won't happen, but I can always dream.

Simply shows the ignorance of our fans. Well at least a percentage of them.:)

This is the first time I have ever seen this, Jones is a bigger idiot than I have ever gave him credit for.
Talk about lying with a smile on your face.

Jerry's not dumb, he is just like the NBA star that wants to be a rapper or pro golfer and does not know his limitations. On his tombstone it will read "he was not a football guy".

Jerry is a tool. He's like an addict who is in denial about his disease.

Unforunately he's going to have to hit rock bottom. It would take a fanbase loss and financial loss of epic proportions to get him to see the light, and even then that may not be enough.

I do not mind Jerry as GM at all. what GM has won more superbowls since Jerry has been in the league. JErry has put a lot of talent on the team.

As GM Jerry in my opinion major flaw is coaching. and he puts the staff togethert

There is plenty of talent, but no team concept with the Cowboys. That starts at the top.

He needs to fire himself and hand full control over to a football guy that knows how to win in TODAY'S NFL.

Manny Pacquiao and title bouts. That's what is important. Jerry wins.

I don't mind Jerry doing all that stuff. He just needs to turn the Cowboys stuff over to someone else. What he fails to realize is that he can do that and still be visible.

Not yet, but i feel that by end of season Jerry Jones will, after seeing fans cover their faces with sacks or whatever because their embarrased, and when fans dont buy season tickets next year, jerry will see

1st step for jerry i think was what he said today,
I am dumbfounded!

step in right direction as far as im concerned

Jerry has no one to blame but himself

Case in point, Jerry said, I decide the 53 man roster, and the 45 man team, what players go to game and play, I decide Jerry says

Then add in, all week, we as fans knew that Newman was hurting, even wade said Newman shouldnt have played, but who said I decide 53 man roster, and did we sign another CB just in case Newman couldnt play? NO!

Its all on Jerry Jones, once more and more people realize that, and some real heat starts on Jerry Jones, and less and less on Wade and Jason Garrett, then Jerry will realize what he has done, and has to make changes,

till then, No, jerry wont admit it, his ego is too big!
