Does Jerry really want to kill this buzz?

I started calling him Chuckles after the press conference where Corky admitted lying to Booger about watching every 2019 Cowboys play....Stephen lets out some very forced laughs 12:48 thru 13:28 I bet Booger hasn't forgot about being lied to!!!

Oh my God that was so painful to watch.

Mike McCarthy is unbelievably stupid. Just a stupid human being.

It's embarrassing actually considering the fans history with Payton and the fact he hasn't done a thing as a HC that McCarthy hasn't. They've had nearly identical careers.

But its different! OMG!
Payton got his ring in 2009 and Mike in 2010 I do believe. Been awhile for both. But not nearly as long as old Jerry.

I remember Corky admitting that, and immediately thought, "How stupid of him!!!"....and also thinking that Booger will NEVER forget that moment should things start to go off the rails, and especially if he starts to sense any laziness from Corky....which I'm sure he has by now.

I will say this Risen, with MM here no chance Rodgers comes...Payton theres a chance...Im of course always looking out for your emotions!

The way he said it and the way he speaks comes from someone with very low intelligence. He is a complete imbecile.

Well I haven't heard Drew Brees make the claim that Payton had a "low football IQ."

That's gotta be a positive.

Plus THE GREAT Aaron Rodgers who Dak haters around here call a "Generational QB," they said he carried Mike to that SB win and to all those playoff appearances. THE GREAT Aaron Rodgers who's a generational QB only has one SB win to show for it, so it has to be because of MM, right?

Look at all the Payton threads…everyone here is like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve…there is hope….I can’t quit listening to 105.3 The Fan for fear of missing the latest news. If this excitement continues on building and building only to see Chuckles change Boogers mind and chicken out, or on the flip side fail to land Payton, this really could backfire on him…especially if this was all a ruse in order to keep us in the spotlight. Enough with lame duck seasons…I’m about to enter one with my Sun Devils…we cannot continue to waste any more seasons in regard to our best players…time to be proactive for once. Chuckles having Boogers ear scares the living hell out of me!!!!
Yeah, I wouldn’t mind Payton coming in here.

But as far as that alone giving me hope as a Cowboys fan- we’ve already had 6 different HCs since our last divisional playoff win 26 years ago…7 different OCs, 8 different DCs, over 70 different assistant coaches…and 1 ego-maniacal owner/GM who refuses to acknowledge that he needs to stop being the centerpiece of everything that’s wrong here.

I don’t mean to be a buzzkill for any Cowboys fan…I’m just being honest about my faith- or lack of it- until some major FO changes are made, I will be a “show me, don’t tell me” fan. Talk is cheap. Winning is the only cure.

Been there done that. Who could forget the clandestine meeting about Jerry's jet with Bill Parcells. "Reports are that is was Parcells that got on the jet". The end result, 4 season 2 one and done wild card games.[/QUOTE]

Yes with terrible rosters. That 10 - 6 Quincy Carter team might have been the least talented team in NFL history to make the playoffs. It's an absolute debacle that the 2021 Cowboys lost in the same round.

I don't get the hype on this....because you would have to have Jerry relinquishing power and I don't see that happening, and i don't think you do either. Trust me, i would not mind at all if it happened, but to be realistic, i don't see it at all. Surprised with all the hype and excitement. LOL......

Many are going to be like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve that didn’t get what they wanted. There’s going be a lot of crying! lol If Jerry were to pull the plug on McCarthy it won’t be for Sean Payton. Some of you are getting yourselves all worked up for nothing.

We sound like the Raiders east a bit. This is exactly what AL did with the Raiders for 20 years until he left us. Sad

Some Cowboy fans are so desperate wanting to believe we’re only a HC away.

When will fans finally see HC in this dysfunctional organization can’t make the same impact as they would in other venues.

The only way to overcome this dysfunctional culture we have is with the best talent. If fans really want more hope for next season I’d consider trading for Rodgers than a HC .

I’d argue one of the best QB’s in the league will help us more than one of the best HC’s. And then go get a DT, S , RB and maybe a TE either in draft or FA.

Do what Rams did this year or Bucs did last year.

Like you, sadly, I think that’s a good comparison. In the last few years of Al Davis’ “dictatorship”, he became more and more isolated and stubborn. I think Jerry is actually a better human being than Al ever was. But I’m afraid JJ is just as stubborn that this team is “his” in the same way a 10 year old feels about his favorite toy and doesn’t have to share.

Listening to Jerry last week on his radio “show” he didn’t sound even 1% self reflective about his role in this mess. He sounded mad at McCarthy and would take no responsibility for much of anything. When asked about the stupid sunlight he loves for aesthetic reasons, he said “There are 10,000 things more important than that” and that it’s all “part of the elements of football” like cold and snow. No…no they are not like that Jerry. You can put up a curtain. You can’t stop snow, ice or wind…unless you build an indoor stayjum.

I think he’s very close to Al Davis level now. Who does he listen to that will tell him he’s not very good at the football side of things. He’s a HOF business man and a consistently mediocre at best GM. The truth only hurts when you believe it’s true. He doesn’t.

I think payton would be better than mm, but not saying he is right one for cowboys.
peyton is a passing guy, he likes to pass more than run, so he is like a older version of kellen.
Dallas needs someone who knows about running the ball.

peyton when he was younger would have been a good coach, not sure about now, but a new job with cowboys might recharge his battery.

I just dont like a coach who wants to make players fit his scheme, need a coach who will create a scheme for dallas players.

Right now I am in favor of anyone over mike, but if he hired payton, would he let peyton pick his staff?? Would peyton pick a good staff?
would jerry want peyton to keep kellen as untouchable OC?? lol that would be insane wouldnt it?

If I was to read MM is taking control of the offense that would excite me. I don’t expect that to happen, so yeah I’d take Sean just because I don’t believe he comes to Dallas hand the reins over to KM

we like our guys

This is going to hang over this teams head until Payton makes a move.

I know everyone is fired up but the worst thing that can happen to next years team is Payton being available.
