Personally, I could care less, but I jumped on NFL.com this morning and noticed something funny about one of the main graphics.

Is it just me or does Eli appear scared/child-like/wussy in this picture? LOL Of all the pictures to dig up, NFL.com went w/ this one.. LOL I Love it :laugh2: I can understand ESPN doing that sort of thing, but you'd think that the NFL, which cares so much about its image, would pick a better picture ey?

Recall what the NFL told Newman: "The public’s view of NFL players is essential to our continued success as the most popular sport in America"

You can't joke around, but we can make you look bad when we want... nice messege.

he always looks like that.
Agreed, Eli always looks scared and pressured. The NFL doesnt have a pic of a confident Eli.

Eli Manning could be the best QB in the world.....but nobody would ever follow him because the guy just doesn't have the aura of leadership or confidence about him. Guys aren't gonna lay it on the line for him.

This big "IT" that everybody talks about QBs having is not in Eli.

Romo has "IT".
Brady has "IT".
Favre has (or had) "IT".

These guys all had to work their way up from the bottom to get to where they are. Nothing was handed to them in the NFL. Guys respect that.

Guys like Eli have had everything handed to them their entire lives, and they were expected to live up to these huge expectations. I think that breeds a smug yet timid attitude that just doesn't translate well in the NFL.

If he keeps playing the way he has, Archie is going to have an anti-Eli agenda.

He's making him look like a fool with all the draft stuff he did for his kid.

better in NY than in SD....at least we get to aid in his misery.

BTW..........Peyton has "IT"

in fact Peyton is the only Manning that knows how to win on a regular basis....perhaps he was adopted. Maybe Archie stole him when he was a baby from Johnny Unitas.......

To be fair, Archie was stranded in NO untill late in his career; even after being battered for years he had a pro bowl year in Minn. Show me a QB that has prospered in NO.

History has been more than fair to Archie, to hear people talk about the guy, you would swear he won several championships and dominated the league.

The guy had 2 seasons with more td's than picks. You can't blame all of that on the supporting cast, I would say he has to take some of the blame for his failures.

And how did he have a pro bowl year in Minnesota when he only played 6 games?

Drew Brees had a great year last year....and after a rough September this year, has turned it around to have a nice season this year as well.....and all without any decent running game.
