Does our backup qb even matter?

I mean if Dak were to get injured, does anybody really believe that the next qb will come in and do anything? Id rather go Showers, because if Dak gets hurt then our season is done, just like most teams would be done if they have to rely on the 3rd quarterback.

A couple of weeks ago, people around here were saying the backup QB did not matter since the season would be over if Romo went down.

So according that idea we are done already, right?

Or did that tune change because Prescott looked competent in a couple of exhibitions?

BLASPHEMY! Dak isn't going down!

But we do need some insurance.

Like I said in another thread... if Dak goes down this season early we're shooting for a top 5 pick. I don't care if Romo comes back week 10 or whatever. I want a top 5 pick.

Yea it did change, because at the time our best option was Moore. I know it was only preseason but it gives us some kind of hope that he might be our future franchise qb

If Dak goes down, and we can't see and determine if he truly is the heir apparent to Tony. And we end up with a top 5 pick again. Jerry better still take a top QB in the draft. Can't pass up on that opportunity, regardless the good showing Dak has shown. Can't take that chance.
This is Dak's actual real life test to prove he can do this.
