To me I bet he does for two reasons.1.He will get credit for our success, because they are "his"players.2.He has to have feelings for these guys whom he taught for many years.what do u guys think?

I bet he does since he's coached most of them, and him and Jerry are pretty much pals

I think he's torn,

If Wade wins a SB he's going to intrinsically not feel great about that.

But I can see him also feeling proud for building back up the Cowboys.

In many ways Bill probably looks best if we win this year as he will get a lot of credit on turning this franchise around. And Wade went Switzer.

I bet part of him wants to see the cowboys do well because it basically validates his position as a team rebuilder. I bet another part wants him to see the cowboys crumble to validate his scheme and everything else that has been trashed, bashed and thrashed since he left.

He probably roots for us to finish second behind his beloved Giants.

I've listened to his Primetime radio show every single week this year, and if he is, he sure hides it well.

I think he roots for us cause he built the team and he isn't coaching anyone else right now. He knows the guys and probably enjoys seeing them do well. But he's Parcells, not Meshawn, he's not going to let it become an agenda.

I've coached little league baseball. My son moved up but the old team is doing well. I feel like I had a part in it. Yes, definitely he roots for the team. Heck yea!

BP is going to root for the guys here.
He felt a very real connection to them and they guys who can actually play seemed to really respect the guy. Witten, Romo and a few others are very clear Parcells was a positive influence.

I have no doubt in my mind that Parcells does NOT root for the Cowboys.

The final insult to him would be the team doing well and going deep in the playoffs.

I think he likes a few of the players on the 'Boys,- Terry, Tony, Jason, Marion...

but that does not dispel his conceited and self-centered brain.

Here's to hoping that Wade wins it all and Bill can choke on his wavering commitment to coaching this team that probably was the reason for all of the late season swoons.

typical responses from the BP haters.
I do not doubt that BP wants to see the players he stuck up for (Romo, T Glenn, etc) do well for two reasons: one-they are BP guys and he always sticks up for them; two- the more of his guys that do well the more it validates his personel decisions.
Now as regards the Cowboys TEAM- some partiality there but I bet its tough for him when they play the Giants.

Disagree. Weather any one wants to admit it or not, Parcells laid the foundation for this team. Any one think Phillips, Turner, Rivera or any of the other coaches JJ interviewed could have done it? JJ certainly couldn't.

Parcells has said that he didn't view his time here as a total success but he left the Cowboys in way better shape then when he was hired. He was a major contributor in building the team. That can't be denied. Why would he not root for them?

Hopefully Phillips builds on that foundation and we stay successfull through the season.
