Does Phil Mafah give King Henry vibes?

This won't be popular, but I didn't see anything that dropped my jaw. He clearly has good long speed and a nice change of direction step, but he is a bit slow on the acceleration and decision making when the hole isn't a mile wide.
I was impressed by how he was running people over though.

You want to know who he reminds me of? Rod Smith. Jaylen’s brother. Not to say he can’t find a place on this team but his running style is very similar.

Sorry. Mafah does not have Derrick Henry’s speed. He’s a big guy who will be fun to watch in TC and PS games. But expecting him to be the next Derrick Henry is a huge stretch.

The thing you have to be careful with about college film highlights is there are often plays shown against guys who would never be close to NFL caliber players. Not knocking Mafah, but he was a 7th round pick for several reasons.
Nobody is Henry. But this kid isn't getting nearly enough love. He's more than a power back. Soon Everyone will see.

Dumb old Jerry never even shook the bushes for Derek henry

Anyone who doesn't see the similarities between Derrick Henry and Phil Mafah is just a hater. It is that obvious.

Which means while the Ravens had to commit up to 10 million a year for Henry, we just used a 7th round pick on the same player because our front office is just that good.

10+ yards down field, once he got a head of steam going. too slow off the blocks and getting to the line, where most of the business happens in NFL. he is nto going to see the same type of running lanes as he did in college. I think he is a PS type of player this year.
