Does Quinns poor run defense lower his market value?

Quinn has been a major asset rushing the QB. He has had his best season since his MVP candidate days with the Rams. On the flip, his run defense has been terrible.

With him being a FA, one of the big questions is whether he has priced himself out of Dallas. However, do you think that his run defense may give teams pause in offering him a big contract?

Nope. Teams drool over folks that can rush the passer and has that bend that Quinn does.

With that said, I dont want him back

He's on his 3rd team in 3 seasons for a reason: one-trick pony.

He is entering that stage in his career where he should be a 3rd down rusher.

@WillieBeamen passing rushing is gold. But if we got him back I would want a DE that keeps him off the field 1st and 2nd downs. Bennett is a strong run defender, but I doubt he wants to be back. He would be perfect. RDE could be a real contender for our 1st rounder.

Depends on the scheme and talent around him. With poor LB play like the cowboys have, he is not a very good fit.

Quinn and Bennett will be gone unless Quinn will take a cheap contract. If we get Gregory back then we won’t need him for 4 games, then Gregory will be suspended again.

I know that Crawford is everyone's whipping boy, and I admit he has been overpaid, but going from Crawford to our RDE on early downs to Quinn is a BIG reason why our run defense is way down this year.

Ideally, you would start Bennett or Crawford at that spot, slide them down on passing plays and then bring in Quinn.

I also feel like Gregory was better against the run than Quinn.

Give him Crawford's money.
Might be a good idea. But was wondering if we would give it to Collins. Assuming we will draft a big DT this year. Again assuming Marinelli is gone and the new DC respects the position.

Gregory is a very good run defender

100%. Losing Crawford was a huge hit to the defense. The guy ate up blockers and got pretty good penetration. He may have been overpaid, but he was one of the better DL.

Quinn was good against the run in LA. What you're seeing is our crapp DT's making it easy for QB's to step up into a clean pocket which makes it take a full out effort just to get to the QB. Quinn's not the problem as far as stopping the run.

Randy Gregory is a much more complete DE, Quinn has cost us A LOT more than he's helped us. You can run at him and run screens on him all day long.

Quinn was poor against the run in Miami too

It lowers his value but there will be demand from teams to sign him. He is not going to get what DLaw got but then not may players in the league do get paid what DLaw does.
