And no, not Favre.

I was thinking more like Don Merideth. Cool under pressure, like to have a good time. Playing with the reporters and just overall in total command.

Maybe this is a question for us old timers but he sure does remind me a lot of the way Dandy Don handled himself. (Except without the night life stuff).

I know this will probably draw some death threats around here ( ;) ) but he reminds me an awful lot of Steve Young in his prime. A good arm with great decision-making capabilities, leadership, spreads it around very well, and an ability to tuck it down and scramble whenever he needs to.

Steve Young??? HUH? Not even close. Completely different quarterbacks. In his prime, Young could run a lot better than Romo ever will.

Romo reminds me of Romo, honestly, I dont think I've seen anybody like him.

When some of those stories/articles came out with him making jokes and dodging some questions with witty remarks I did think of Dandy Don and that type of personality.

Not cocky in that way, just funny, confident and an ability to make others feel that he is in charge and they can always make things happen with him at the helm.

So with those ideas in mind he does remind me of Dandy Don.

He actually reminds me of Montana. Deceptive in the pocket, "ok" arm strength, but puts that ball where it needs to be. A winner on the field.

Hey Bud...I agree.

I was thinking the same thing.

Nothing bothers this kid. He's laughing in the huddle. He's just having a good time.

I've always felt badly that the Cowboy "fans" booed Meredith out of town.

between series (we were down at the time) i pointed out to a buddy that Romo was on the sidelines laughing and joking with another player. it didn't mean much at the time, but that kid is cool. just sticks to business, having fun, doing what he does...

Some people may crucify me for suggesting such but he reminds me style-wise a bit if Steve Beurlein,,a steady and productive scrabler who made the right throws, a pro bowler late in his career.

That's scrambler, although I'm certain that Romo wins scrabble alot by spelling moxie.

Interesting poll question, how many on here every actually saw Merideth play. I can barely remember his last yr, I was just getting started in Cowboy fandom at the time.

That's what we look like with no makeup on during rehearsal.

Aikbach you work on the show? If so, that's awesome. Been a Conan fan for years.

Exactly. Romo is Romo. I have a hard time pointing out a single QB he is most like. He just has a mix of talents.

As crazy as that sounds I agree.
You might add similar size to that equation as well.

*waving hand*

I always felt the Cowboy fans gave him a RAW deal.
