nobody is making fun of it. it's just stupid to give an athlete who's not even an elite athlete 45 million who also has trouble breathing.
Players do have to pass a physical. I will assume something like that is included.

He can go play with that kicker that was sent to the asthma field.:laugh2:

Dude like 1 in 6 people or something has asthma. There are tons of athletes with it I'm sure.

The key is managing it...which is easy to do. I don't really know what Roy said other than that he haad it, but it's a terrible excuse.

What's more stupid is also giving up multiple high-draft-picks for a #2 WR (at best) with astham. Wonder if jerry was "holding his breath" when he made that deal? :laugh2:

I had severe asthma as a kid and it's something that rarely if ever caused me to miss practice much less a game. A big part of asthma is just not being able to take a deep breath.

It would sometimes take me time to be able to inhale enough to get enough oxygen to function. It was like a wall that I had to push through. Once I pushed through that wall I was fine, but i'd be in pregame warmups struggling for breath. I had to push really hard at times to get what I called my 2nd wind...

My lungs just would not accept enough air in to allow me to stress my body. It's something that I dealt with all my life. I coud see how factors could come together that made it impact you but not often and with the management stuff they have now it would have rarely been a bother.

or is he joking? cause if Jerry paid a wr 45 million dollars who has asthma.....that's just crazy.

90% of the professional athletes have medically aproved asthma. Just because the medicine they would have to take then contains cortisone. Cortison is a steroid. Because of that athletes can have higher steroid levels and therefore don't fail substance abuse tests (if they for example use steroids to enhance their performance). So it's an easy way to stay "clean".

He must have Asthma...I hear a sucking sound everytime he is on the field.
