The trend in the NFL is when a Coach/Coord switches teams he usually collects some of "his guys" to bring with him. Obviously Nnamdi fits that bill and would also fill a huge need for us. Hope this happens.

We could only hope so, dumb/move T.New and get Nnamdi to shut down half the field something we havent had since Deion

If he can truly shut down half the field the way people claim that he can............I hope so :D

Won't happen. But if it does, I'll put Nnamdi in my avatar in his Cowboys uniform for the entirety of the 2011 season.

I dont think its happening either.

Every yr I'm constantly amazed at how people think the ONLY way to get better is to go out and sign only the biggest name, most expensive free agents. And every yr that strategy proves to be wrong.

If Jerry meets his contract demands, Ryan's relationship w/Nnamdi could be a deal closer. Nnamdi and his agent will follow the money.

Instead we almost never bring in any big name FA.

We havent been stupid like the Commanders, but Jerry spends money.

Deion was a pretty big name. So was Glover. So way Leonard Davis. Roy Williams wasnt a FA and neither was Galloway, but he paid big bucks and draft picks to get them.

It may not happen, but to say it won't happen suggests you are privy to information we are not. I wonder why some speak (type) in absolutes here, when as fans, we are mostly just guessing any way. I'm fortunate to have a relative who currently plays for the Cowboys, but he doesn't let on like some of the posters here do. You are one of the people whose posts I look forward to reading, but I doubt that you know unequivocally that he won't be here either. We all have our ways of writing/posting...I don't know enough to tell anyone what will happen, so I preface my opinion. Pardon me for wasting your time, and thank you for your service to our Country.

Same here.

And someone said we don't sign big name FAs? Jerry spent a lot of money to bring in Parcells guys. And what about our own -- Ware, Roy Williams, Miles, and Newman have gotten pretty big money the last few years.

A franchise that has boasted such names as Stauback, Irving, Whitten, and Brookings ought to sign Nnamdi for the potential misspellings if nothing else.

If we sign Rob Ryan there is just no way you can say it won't happen with 100% certainty.

I'm usually not in favor of big name, high priced FAs, but I did want Deion back in '95 and I would absolutely LOVE to have Nnamdi.

He is one of the few real shut down CBs that ever come along in this league and he is right there on par with Revis.

Why anyone wouldn't want him is beyond me unless it can be shown that signing him will directly affect our ability to sign other top quality players at other positions of need.

The guy is absolutely a perfect NFL player. Top notch character, perfect size and would have more affect on our defense than any other player available.

It may happen every year but I usually don't waive the pom poms unless it seems like a perfect fit.

Newman has a bad contract, we are going to hire Rob Ryan, and oh... he's a top 2 NFL corner.

It makes a lot of sense to get this guy for the right price.

A guy I used to work with used to always say " Roger STARBUCK is the greatest QB ever" . No matter how many times I corrected his pronunciation he would say it wrong. It used to drive me crazy!!!

He's also 30. Jones was criticized for giving Newman a new deal on the other side of 30.

I think NA is a very good player, but he's gonna require a huge contract to get and IMO, CB is not the biggest issue on the team. I'd spend money where we need the most help at. NA is more of a luxury than a need.

I think posters like to get on their high horse and shoot everything down.

Jerry will take this into consideration. You can bet the Cowboys will be in the mix.
