Does Spencer start?

A little overweight now, it seems, and a knee that may be balky all year. Does he take his starting DE position back from Selvie, who seems more athletic and a great fit for this scheme? I know everyone's reaction will be there are 10 million reasons for him to start, but I'm not so sure he is not better off as a situational guy this year.

Good question. The Chiefs ran over the RE last game esp at the end. I've not seen the film but someone is responsible for that. I don't know how much Spencer and/or Selvie was for that and who else was part of that put my first thoughts were Spencer generally plays the run well. However, he's injured and out of shape. Maybe that's part of the reason he sat today.

Has anyone seen the film that can comment on that?

The Spencer situation is a bit concerning. The knee is apparently more injured than the team led on.......big shocker, I know.....and he doesn't look to be in game shape at all. He's carrying a lot of extra weight.

The bright side of the situation is that he's not going to take up 11M in cap space next year.
