Does Super Bowl affect Jerry?

If the Broncos win does he continue to think you can when with all the shiny toys? Or if Seattle wins does he finally realize you need a bunch of mean nastiness on the D line?

Jerry is to thick to make any connection like those...

I don't think it will impact him really one way or another. They are two totally different teams.

We need to stack up some solid drafts, cut the dead weight, figure out this damn hamstring epidemic and maintain some consistency in scheme/coaching staff. This carousel approach doesn't work.

I don't think it effects him or the team in any way. They have their plan, know what they want and should do. And they do know better than all the internet GM's.
I agree with the consistency theory....not to be confused with conspiracy theory...

At least there is no Cinderella story this year for him to hang on to. Both teams were the best in there conference from the get go. Why anyone would gamble that we "just get in the tournament" crap is beyond me.

I think the only thing on Jones' mind is if he can somehow circumvent the rules to pay for a commercial during the SB regarding the cowboys so that he gets some press

he is so narcissistic that I could actually see him considering a 15 second or 30 second commercial regarding himself, stadium tours, etc.....

That is a plus.

I'm sure the fact that his team has missed out on SB participation this long is disappointing for him. The extra money and attention it would garner for himself and his image makes his being affected a no-brainer. The financial boom, the spotlight, the hype and all the superfluous glory that accompanies SB participation could likely overinflate Jerry's ego to an all-time astonishingly unbearable level. -- lol

I think it will influence jerry if the broncos win. Next yr no more kill kill kill...... It's Omaha all the way to glory baby

I don't think Jerry even knows there is a game today. He thinks we lost the last 3 superbowls in week 17.

Seattle ain't gonna win

;)

I think that Jerry cares more about hosting than participating in a Superbowl.

Unfortunately I think you may be right.................I still think that is why he didn't try to fight the league with the bogus cap penalty, he thought he would never get another SB if he did.

Wow!!! .... Just Wow!!! If you have watched this FO since Jimmy left and you actually think they have a plan and know what they want to do, I don't know what to say to you! Obviously your reality(?) is a lot different than many (if not most) observers. Jerry's "plan" is whatever the last person to "get in his ear" convinced him was the right thing to do.

But it's OK .... just wait a few minutes (or a few days or weeks), the "plan" will change.

Man, I would love to see that "plan" you are referring to, it must be a very looooong term plan and at some point that plan need to meet the desired goal, which I assume winning a SB, I hope I live long enough to see it.

I dont think Jerry cares at all about the SB anymore. He gets to go every year anyway as an owner and glad hand his way around the league. I truly dont know what has happened to this man since the Jimmy years. It's like he forgot why he is an owner. Plus It was funny watching FOX cut to Garrett in the pregame signing autographs. He must enjoy being as close to the SB as he's ever going to get. What a joke.

JJ wants the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl very, very badly...as long as he gets the credit, as he stated earlier this football season. He won't change because he's out to prove he can win it! And THAT'S all he cares about.

you can have a plan that says " i need to fill the stadium" and you can have a plan that says " i need to mass market the Dallas Cowboys" It works for the Eagles, I truely dont believe the Eagles as a franchise cares about going to the SB, if they did great, if not, as long as the team made money I feel thats their plan. Same with the Cardinals and the Bills. I have, for years, tried to explain to fans that not all teams play for the SB, its that simple. Jerry may not be interested in winning the SB. He might be more interested in the franchise making money. Its a plan, I might hate it, but its a plan.

Heard Howie Long in the Pre-Game discussing with Jimmy Johnson that the HC for Seattle told him the blueprint for the Seahawks can from the 90's Jimmy Johnson teams.

The way they drafted, how they didn't try to use FAs to build the team, etc.

I thought that was revealing.

Interesting reflection to hear.
