Does this mean our chances to get Dom Capers just went up?

From what I can remember, the Skins HC job was only one available. If Spag takes it, the NYGiants DC opens up with probably Capers the first in line for that job. Now that Spags has turned it down, maybe Capers now more interested in Cowboy defensive consultant job. Must admit I don't understand that his job description would be in that scenario. Would Capers be defacto DC or more of an assistant to Phillips. At least Capers has won some playoff games.

For some reason I think the silence regarding Capers is a bad sign. Maybe not, but I thought we were supposed to have a decision by him last week. The wait is a killer. At this point, I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

:star: I'm now beginning to look at it the same way, although hopefully, we may hear something new now...who knows.

Definitely, chances have improved...Should hear something final soon

I think the silence was Capers waiting to see what Spags would do

I envision him signing on w/ us now since he knows what's what

I sure hope so. I think he would be a phenomenal addition to our staff.

ive been thinking the same thing.

I think the silence was due to him waiting to see what happened with Spags in New York. If he'd left he probably likely would have interviewed, at the least, for the DC position in NY. Now that Spags is staying I do think this improves our chances of getting him.

I think Capers was waiting to see what happened with New York. Now that situation is settled, I would anticipate a decision (yes or no) within 2-3 days.

Capers was waiting to see if he'd get the defensive coordinator job in D.C. so I believe he'll decide soon enough...
