If Dan left because of Jerry not allowing him to make decision on certain players staying or not. Which in my thinking is what a consultant does. Then why is Wade still here. Why would you want to be coach with no say at all. Why would tolerate that. After 2 days Dan saw the writing on the wall.

Man the players must be sitting back laughing at Wade.

We still don't know why Reeves left really. This info is still sketchy.

Why would they laugh at Wade? He's the one who tried to bring Reeves here. It's Jerry who didn't like what was going on.

Players are laughing because Wade will be seen more of a puppet than ever. He brought Dan in here and Jerry didn't like it at all. I know we don't know the true facts yet.

Dan was really never hired. IF he had an office ect. then they must have been close to an agreement or someone jumped the gun.
I would really like to know what happened, though i doubt if we ever hear the true story.
IF he was to be only a consultant, he would not have any power, he would only be able to make suggestions, ect. My bet it's about money. Not that Dan is greedy, Jerry probably didn't want to pay the going rate, whatever that may be.
Thats just my guess.

Wade is here for the free hot dogs:laugh2:

Of course we have to wait till all the facts are out, but if Wade really was the one wanting Reeves in here to help then this has got to be very frustrating for him. There is only so much frustration each person can take. Wade must be a very patient man to not be madder 'n hell.

Would it surprise anyone if Wade quits behind this? I'm assuming that he wanted Reeves on board. Of course, everyone would think that he was fired no matter what he says. The guy can't win.

As far as Reeves, who exactly is it that keeps leaking information out of Valley Ranch? We shouldn't even know that Reeve was there moving into an office. That should've been kept quiet until an official agreement was reached. The leaks are magnifying every little thing.

True. But in all honesty, no matter how much pride you have, it must be hard to walk away from a $3,000,000/year job.

But hey, if he did quit and RJ took over, most people would think it was for the better anyway.

He'll never get another chance to be HC, nor will he ever be paid this much again as a DC. I think that he really got exposed here in a bad way. So this is his money ticket.

Who needs pride when you're collecting more money from Jerry Jones over a few short years than you and I will ever see in an entire lifetine. Pride shmie!

Wade annoys me as a person and a coach.

Yeah me too. He has annoyed me from day one. I remember the days of speculating and hoping that Jerry would hire Rivera or Singletary. Man oh man.. Those were the days.... At least there was still hope back then before Jerry brought Pillsbury on board. :(

He had an office and a name plate, according to DallasCowboys.com. How many people that aren't hired get their own name plate? So he obviously was supposed to be a part of this franchise (unless he just brought in his own name plate :laugh2:).

The fact he suddenly bolted out of town is a very, very bad sign IMO. I'm not buying the compensation angle. I absolutely buy the "couldn't agree to what his role would be" angle also being tossed out there. We can all read between the lines there.

I didn't necessarily love his hiring. I posted as much a few days ago. He's a retread, and I didn't think he was going to save this sinking ship. But I believe I also posted that what I liked about it was what it signaled -- that Jerry MIGHT be willing to listen to someone else. My fear, as I also posted, was that Jerry would get Reeves' advice and merely ignore anything that didn't just mirror his own thoughts.

How does this look bad on just Wade? This looks bad on the whole freaking organization. This is ameature hour folks. In my mind, this is more a sign that something is wrong than all the player talk and Garretts attempt to bail. When a guy comes in, has an office for two days and then leaves saying it was never even established why the hell he was there in the first place?

That is an absolute joke.

I wasn't even one of those people that thought Dan Reeves was the answer (after Garrett was the answer and after Wade was the answer), but the way this whole situation was handled is completely an embarassment to the organization as a whole.

I bet Jerry has people do it for him.

This isn't the first time this Mickey Mouse group of efftards has looked like a jailbreak from a Downs treatment facility. Remember the Terry Donahue fiasco? Fact is this place is run from the hip by the Mayor of Crazytown, one Jerreh Jones.

Frankly, I thought bringing Reeves in as a consultant just SCREAMED organizational dysfunction. But to bring him in and ship him out and look like the gang that couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel...
