that is basically the only thing that changed. Parcells (historically a master 3-4 defensive coach) was unable to get this defense rolling and I am not sure what Wade brings to the table that is much different than what Parcells tried. Does anyone truely feel Wade is a better 3-4 guy than Parcells? If Wade doesnt get to bring in his own DC...then the hiring is a shame!

It is not a matter of who KNOWS the 3-4 better.

What matters is how someone uses the 3-4 and their mentality towards it.

Bill seemed to be conservative with the 3-4 where Wade seems to be more aggressive with it.

Does not mean one knows it better than the other.

Wade will teach the DC how to actually disguise a blitz, where as Bill will be like...blitz? hell send them all in cept for the free safety and the corners, no one will guess that

well wade really played it well in san diego, bill played coverage too much and that was our problem, we gave QB's way too much time to pick holes in our secondary where as wade will happily send in ware and co to pressure the QB.

Why do you think Parcells wasn't more agressive with it? There has to be a reason.

Well, since I dont know much about your linebackers, and much about the 3-4, and considering this information is coming from ESPN, take it for whats its worth.

Last night on NFL live, they said that the cowboys linebackers(with the exception of ware obvioiusly) arn't very well suited for the 3-4.

Now, being as uneducated to the 3-4 as I am, I wouldn't know much about this. So tell me, are you all still trying to find people through the draft for the system, or do you think you are set at LB?

I think they both know the 3-4 very well,, but they have different coaching philosophies. I think the talent on the team is very good and the change in Philosophy will be a good thing.

I think bill is conservative by nature.

However I will admit that some of the players just did not seem to get it, which also seems to be the problem with Zimmer as well.

Does Parcells know the 3-4? Hell, was anyone impressed with his version of it?

Exactly! Plus, I believe Wade will communicate better with players and the coaching staff.

James, or his position, seems to be the question mark here.

We need someone that is able to make plays in coverage and players that read the offense better.

BP's version was to win individual matchups, where Wade's version is to create mismatches and kill the QB.

All i know is I want to see Wades version this year.I want
the QB running for his life,so that our secondary isn't so
vulnerable.I can't wait,i might have to fly to San Antonio
when camp opens.

Great analogy and I think you nailed it. I am looking forward to see him unleash Ware and Carpenter both.
