Doesn't it seem like we're looking at a lot of DL and LBs?

Not that it's really surprising, or that it's a bad thing (actually I love it), but doesn't it seem like reports have us interested in tons of defensive linemen and LBs? From the big-name guys like Brace to the small school guys like Holtzclaw and Skuta, it seems like we're focusing in this area.

Or is that just my hopeful imagination? :)

i think wade wants to get alittle more tougher on defense, improve it somewhat and get mean and nasty on defense

remember defense wins championships

and steelers always draft linebackers and defensive linemen as well as huge offensive linemen too

Seems logical seeing as how the defense gave up 365 points last year which was three more than the offense scored. Honestly other than LT the offense is good enough to go all the way. I mean the defense made Magahee look like Eric Dickerson and Landry look like Jim Brown. It all comes down to the front seven IMO.:starspin

If we don't draft a WR, I actually would be fine. But I would like us to draft at least two O-lineman.

Not to get into this again, but our defense was 8th last year.

The offense, 14th.

I do think we need guys on D, if for no other reason that that we've lost more guys there. I also think Wade a good eye for talent on that side of the ball, so I think it's a good fit. But it just seems like so many of these articles on defensive front seven guys have us interested. I was wondering if that were the case or if I was just being biased because I hope we go that direction. :)

The Cowboys have always brought in a bunch of guys at positions where the scouts/coaches are unsure about the board. They want to firm up those rankings. A lot of times the guys they bring in are guys they want to remove from the board(put in the box as virtually undraftable) and they just want to make sure that is the right call.

All that said Dallas will draft a LB and a DL of some sort. It is just their nature and having a defensive coach and a 3-4 team that front 7 is so critical to everything the team does.

It probably killed them not to draft a 1st or 2nd round linebacker last year, lol.
